Go back to Jiffy Lube one last time to have them walk you through exactly what they did...hopefully you'll figure out what they did....
Then, don't ever go there again...

Do you have a CAI?...If so that could be the prob. There is an electronic sensor that measures the Oxygen level...with a CAI dust covors the sensor and the CEL comes on.

Yo, my girl went to jiffylube w/her car, and they didn't put the oil filter on right. It blasted off on the highway onramp, and probably caused some engine damage when all the oil kind of fell out at once. My likely they didn't have the correct one in stock, and just found another one that "looked close"
Jiffy lube help wanted ads say "No Experience Necessary." Is that the person you want working on your car?

i really REALLY REALLY don't think dealerships are better than jiffy lube. they've broken my car about 5 out of 6 times i've taken it in for an oil change. i hate em. that and they will screw you if you ask for synthetic. you better watch them put it in. because i've had 3 synthetic oil changes, and i've had to have them redo 2 of them because they put in regular and i saw them do it. you have to watch em. from now on i think i'm all DIY.
one question though, will dealerships give you **** if you have a warranty issue and you changed your oil yourself and have no proof? like, will they say you didn't get the whatever mile service so we won't cover it?

What dealer is that? Your situation isn't the same for all dealerships though; quality dealerships do exist.

did you also check your oil level... i dont think theres a problem there really since the low oil light would come on. but check it anyway, I've had pretty low oil in the car b4 without the light coming on.
also just take your car to the dealership for 5 mins instead of guessing around. they'll hook up the diag. tester tool and tell you exactly whats up. its part of your warranty so get it done b4 it potentially turns into a big problem.
