Holy LORD!!! The only person I can think of who would drop that on a set of engine plastics is Pluto! Oh....but it doesn't say TRD....maybe not. ;)

They are beautiful Parker, but that's certainly a big price tag.

Wow..I'd love to have this stuff...but Jesus Christ what a price tag! I can't see 473 bucks for engine plactics. The JDM TRD stuff is half that price from JDM Style. I was all over this when you announced it and unfortunately now I have to reconsider. :(

Guys... I just talked to Parker and this stuff, is made much different than alot of the other CF stuff out there... If I had the money I would get it, but none the less this stuff is worth the price, if you've got the funds to buy it.

Chris

Nice talking w/you Parker and thanks for the updates on the "plans"

Let me be clear. I am not dissing the product. It appears to be very well made with perfect fitment. I would love to have this stuff, but for these prices I would rather by engine muscle rather than engine dress-up. I am just bitter at the price tag. I will be very jealous of whomever actually "thunks" down the cash for this stuff. IPT, thanks for making this stuff. It is appreciated.

Same here! Not talking bad about the product, but HOLY SH!T thats a hefty price tag!!! But in the custom world, to be different costs!!!!!!!

IPT,

It is a great idea, but in that price range, I believe 95% of the prospective market has been eliminated. There are kids here with the cash (don't get me started), the desire to purchase, and the need to kick up their show car an extra notch, but I could not justify paying 40% more than the cost of a CF hood to buy CF products that are on display 98% less than the hood. Once again there are buyers out there. I truly wish you luck in sales, but its not written all over my comment.

Are you out of your cotton-picking minds!!! A damn VIS invader hood only cost $600. That's more carbon fiber that that crap your selling. I'm sorry, Your Crazy!!! The only thing you have is under $100 is a damn fuse box cover. A little dinky piece for $53 dollars!!!! No way in hell, I would buy that crap. If people intend to buy this whole kit, thier crazy too. Someone really need to get with VIS or other carbon fiber makers to design this product for people that can afford to buy. Christ!! I bet it nearly cost you that much to make the fricky thing in the first place. For your information, don't reply to me. I don't need to hear your salesman talk.
Thank You!!!!

wow, that IS pretty damned pricey! But if you're the only person I can get it from, then I guess I'll end up paying the price. At that price tho, I don't think I'd be willing to get the whole set. Definitely the engine cover and perhaps ECU cover tho! :)

I dunno, I do well enough that I can buy it if I want to. I don't think it's the wisest investment at all, but hell, I can't find anyone else who's made it yet. Still, in my opinion, it's about $300 too much for that engine cover, but what do I know? All I know is that's what this guy is charging and he's the only one who has it... I'm surely not going to jump immediately on this one, but when it comes time to buy, and if this is the only option, I'll pay the price.

From the looks of things, it isn't going to be something commonly found under the hood, so all the better I guess. :wiggle:

Oh my god..that's ****ing expensive..almost the same price when you add the tax..jeezus f'ing christ. :AF:

Ditto on "You just eliminated 95% of the market"

Christ...I'm getting a turbocharger before I even TOUCH that..jeezus.

That'll be one of the last things I'll do. Quality work..fabulous work, actually...BUT...it's for people that have nothing left to do ESPESCIALLY since it does nothing for the car at all.

I think I'll just have my plastic professionally painted for right now.

This is for people who have nothing else left to do..and plan on winning alotta money from showing the car.

EDIT: Now that I'm over the initial shock, I must say again..this is quality work, and it is appreciated, but it's just a little too expensive for a guy that's more about GO than SHOW.

Maybe later...but I can't imagine how much more it's gonna go up.

Sorry guys i just can't sacrifice quality for a a price reduction

they are exspensive but this is the real deal

VIS uses a method called wet laminate it is the cheapest way to make carbon

it is fiberglass that has one layer of carbon gel coated
and left to dry

these parts are made truley of carbon fiber with heat and pressure applied in a autoclave

It is the same proccess that SPARCO uses

It is exspensive but it will last and it is heat resistant

No offense taken i do understand : )

but the process in which these are made are top notch!!

Some other japan companys use the same process have you looked and some of those prices
look at the brands AMUSE and MARGA HILLS and there are more

there hoods are 3000.00 to 5000.00

You are getting what you pay for

Hey parker, any plans on making a CF dash kit?
And by the way, if I had the cash, I'd probably pick up the ecu cover... but I dont.
