too cold to waX?

HEY GUYS, its a warm winter here in chicago. about 40-45 degrees. its not freezing, but i was wondering if its ok to still wax my car. or is it too cold and harmful to the paint. what do you guys think? and what kind of wax should i use if its ok?

Yes, that's too cold. Most products recomend at least 55 deg but I would say over 60. It won't hurt your paint, it will just not leave good results.
