I was just wondering who first dicovered the butterfly valve...remember back in the day, one could ask about the BFV w/o getting flamed to hell?

I can trace my first reference back to Racinjason.

I haven't been on the boards since its inception, but I remember getting the SCC 2K Celica issue while I was shopping for a car. (It was before the car was actually out), and I read about the valve's removal there. I got the car October 1999, and I removed it the day after I got it.

I believe the first dyno of it was over on celica.net.....a whole .2 hp gain if I remember right.

Ahh....the good old days of "interior scratches from the seatbelts" and "LOOK, NEW PICS OF A WINGS WEST BODY KIT!"

:D

dont quote me on this but if I recall correctly..

it was John (spoolin) from celica.net that found the mod first.. then Jason and I both did it and Jason dynoed it.. it was the first dyno we had :)
