NOOOO!!!! This f***ing sucks!!!

My friend Cody just called, and he totaled his Celica last night. He lost control around a corner and took out a pole. It was really wet and windy last night when it happened. Now I am the only modded Celica in Southern Oregon again. At least that I have seen, with the exception of one Action Package. He is OK, which is a good thing. He went to the hospital, but no damage was done. He is just a little sore today. It just sucks to hear that he totaled it. He just bought a Blitz bodykit, and only had the front on. So he has the sides and rear brand new in his garage that he may sell. I will put them in the For Sale forum if that is the case.

OK, I just got the whole story. Cody was coming around a corner in 3rd gear. Not sure how fast he was going, but the speed limit is 35. He hit a huge puddle and lost control. He hit is front end, and that spun his backend out and into a pole. Like I said before, he is ok. Unfortunatley, the Celi is gone. RIP

that explains it yota_racer and LarryD...... my car is red too and look what happend to mine a month ago !!!

red celicas must be cursed !!

so far within the 20 months if had my celica......
- been keyed
- wrecked front end twice (both not my fault)
- engine blew
- tranny went out
- stolen and stripped

what could be next ?? ahhh !!!

funny you should say that in the last year I've crashed into a curb (5500 dollars in damage) and then into a huge ass puddle (5200 dollars) it's been a LONG year...

I have been in 2 wrecks in my car and misshifted once. First wreck was my fault. I won't go into detail on that one. Second one wasn't my fault. Some girl in an 82' Dodge Colt ran a stop sign and T-boned me. It really sucked. I never had any accidents in any of my other vehicles. Then again they were all pretty slow. Fast cars are bad luck.

PS: Who was it that e-mailed me about this thread. Just curious to know who it is.

yea i have a red celica too, i got into an accident, my car hydroplaned crashed into a curb and broke all my driving components cmae out to 4200 then a month later same thing happens and now the car is sold.

GEE! Hope you guys aren't jumping ship on the Celica! I hate reading about all the problems you guys are haveing, just want to say I am really sorry to hear about all of them. I have a carbon blue 2001 GT-s 6sd. Had it only 8 months and already had a lifted Bronco smash my rear end, insurance handled it, and the other day(two months after the last accident) I scraped the right rear of the car on the big concrete poll that sits right next to my narrow parking spot in my apartment's garage:(
I pray everyday that nothing severly bad will happen to my car. Whats worse is I live in San Diego and the people out here drive like each of them owns the road!!!! Got into with a Toyoa Tacoma the other day, dude cuts me off coming out of a stop light then flips me off and smiles about it!!!!!

Man some drivers are total asses. They have no cares about anyone but themselves.

But this is why my car is in the garage and driven like once every two weeks.
