View Full Version : WINTER Tires? Which of these is best?

205/50HR16 Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22
or
205/50HR16 Pirelli Winter 210 SnowSport
or
205/50HR16 Michelin Pilot Alpin

any actual experience with these or others for pure SNOW and ICE driving (I live in Maine remember) would be apreciated.

I would definitely go with the Bridgestone Blizzak. That's what I have right now and although they are not the same size as those you plan to buy (mine are stock dimensions), it's still the same design. They have done a great job for me so far (even though the winter hasn't been too bad here up to now... but don't forget, I live in Qu

Get a set of 15" rims and get 195/60 r15 snow tires. In the snow, thinner is generally better. Get a cheap set of 15" rims, and let them take the punishment of road salts and such.

i am going to get the Blizzaks, as they seem to be the best.

As far as rims, I am planning on getting new rims next summer so my stock rims will be my "winter" rims from now on. But if I weren't going to get new rims I would have definitely gotten a cheap set of steel rims for winter use.
