Question about air breathers...

I was wondering if anybody put the little 3" air breathers in their engine? Could somebody tell me where it goes? I tried putting it on the hose which was connected from my intake to I think the throttle and something didn't sound right so I took it off. I know its mostly for dress up but if anybody could tell me where I can put it, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Its just a crankcase vent. I think someone here put one on and said its pretty much a pointless mod. Try a search, but its been awhile, so it may not come up.

I have one on a chopped off nakayama. It is connected to the side of my obd canister, since the nipple is on the cut off end. The yellow hose is connected where the old short black hose was. Check the pic the pic below.
