cicadas in the middle of december?

need help! started hearing what's sounds like an angry swarm of ciccada's (sp) on crack coming from somewhere on the passengers side of the engine bay.... it's been raining enough to drown noah, did my intake suck up h2o or what???? thanx in advance.....

It's from the drive belt. Most likely the moisture from the rain built up on it and is causing it to squeak. Either that or your belt tensioner is busted (sounds like a pebble in a paper cup kinda rattling). Spray some belt dressing on it and it will stop.

If it keeps coming back, try to take it to Toyota when it's making noise. They can't help you if they can't reproduce the noise.
