I am thinking about buying the sport edition fox 2 from ASA. I was wondering if anyone knows how good the quality of this brand is?

ask at tirerack.com, I've just recently seen them on there. They should know the quality better than anyone, since they're selling it.

I was really looking for an outside evaluation. Tirerack sells these, so I am sure their evaluation of them would be a bit biased...

i don't know about their quality but it's probably about what you'd want. they have some connection to BBS, which is a good sign. i don't think they're lower-grade or rebadged BBS rims, though. i think ASA bought some technology from BBS to manufacture their rims. anyway, SCC put a set of ASAs on their yellow Focus. and you can get some of them in a satin finish, which is the same finish you see on some BMW rims. my guess is you'd be happy with them. price-wise, they're very reasonable.

no prob. btw, where you guys hang out in louisville? i grew up in j-ville, ind., and am down there some to see my family. i usually have to bring the truck to haul everything (gf, dog, etc) but if i did bring the celi, where do you guys go?

i had a teg that i had lowered in louisville by a shop that was near an armory but i can't remember the name of the street. they did a good job but the springs were way too stiff. ended up selling the teg.

not sure what that has to do with anything. oh well.

There's a couple places, it changes. A lot of guys (a couple girls too) take their cars up to Shelbyville road in Middletown around an abandoned Bigg's lot. At one time, we were getting 20-30 cars up there. Another is at 11 th St. and Oak downtown.

I'm not sure which shop your talking about. I get a lot of my stuff done from a friend working at St. Matthews Imports. They do great work on pretty much everything.

that place i was talking about was kind of near churchhill downs and u of l.

next time i'm down with the celi i'll give you guys a hollar and see what's up.

good luck with the rims. btw, i checked out those velox rims on their website. they look pretty good, too. have you decided about them or the ASAs?

good luck.

Sounds good man.
As for the wheels I'm not really sure
There is about a $400 difference between the two choices
I emailed both sites asking for specifics like wheel weights etc. - hopefully this will make my decision for me.

I know this thread is WAAAAAAAY old, but I was thinking about putting on some 15" ASA EM9's on my 2000 GT and was wondering if anyone here has had experience with the brand, if not those wheels.
