I have asked about this before, but want to talk about it one more time before going forward with it. I am getting all the parts I will need for about $800, and can have the labor to make it work at around $600. Hows those prices sound? For that little bit will I like the investment I made? I am just sick of getting wipped when racing by cars with like 120-150 HP when I am getting almost 205 HP in my gts.
Help me out guys with your .02 about if this is safe, and reliable and wont break down in a month. I also just wanna get some opinions on the difference the 6spd's performance is as opposed to the auto sportshifts.

The prices sound a lot better than what I paid. For my gt transmission swap I paid 1330 for the parts (300 dollars of it wa shipping) and 1100 for the labor.
Performance wise, that will probably be your best investment dollar for dollar, as it could mean a second or two difference in the quarter mile.
Reliability? I guess that depends on whoever does the swap, and on the quality of the parts you used. I cant see how your warranty wouldnt be void by this, and if anything goes wrong you may have to fork over a lot of money to get it fixed. Just try to make sure the person/shop doing the swap is reliable and will help you out if something goes haywire down the line.
The main advice I can give you is to make sure you have some extra money lined up if anything goes wrong, or if you find out that you need some extra parts to complete the swap. And make sure you dont need your car anytime soon.

exactly what he said... part wise if you're getting the parts you're getting the parts... you cant really foul up the ECU unless it just doesnt work or something. as for the labor make sure its someone that you know can do a good top level job thats done this kind of thing (verifiable... not just listening to him!)

All I got to say is pay for the damn labor its worth it. Me and a couple of friends are installing a new clutch on a car in shop class and it sucks a big donkey d*ck.......but yeah it sounds like your getting a good deal on it.

I'm lining up my GT trany swap right now. It should be in the shop around Nov. or Dec. I'm buying a lsd and new clutch to go in at the same time. I just don't know where to find all the parts, especially the new computer I'll need for the car to work right. Where are you getting your parts from?

I think Pluto paid about $4000 for a GT-S trans swap. He had all sorts of problems, like the driveshafts being too short. And are you getting a different ECU?
