I have a 5 speed now

Well, sort of, well, not really. My TRD carbon fiber shift knob broke so they warrantied it and gave me a new TRD knob free of charge...problem is that it is the leather one with the gears spelled out on the top of the knob...but there is only 5 speeds! :silly: That means if somone who doesn't know my car gets it to drive it...they are going to have one hella time trying to get the car into reverse!

Anybody know some other good shift knobs out there...this 5 speed designation is kinda dumb but it was free, oh well. :rolleyes:

hehe.. thats the whole reason I never got a new shift knob cuz of the insignia :)

I could have sworn there was one just like it without the insignia...or maybe that's the one that comes with the TRD SS.

I thought it was just the CF and aluminum knobs that were plain.

i thought somebody on here put a TT knob on with the correct gear pattern.

or, just by a momo. personally, i like stock best.

Think of it as theft prevention..When the jack ass goes to stick it in 1st, he will start backing up!! Next he will look at shift knob and and put in the marked reverse and just stall the car because he's in 6h..Then he'll sit there and look for some lockout, and eventually give up!!!

hey, i just noticed in the feb. '02 SCC that the svt focus has the same gear pattern. you could try that.
