JBL or Rockford, which one is better for amp?

I just want to spend about $300 on the amp and still don't know which one should get...
I want to get the JBL one because it matches the speakers on my car (03 GTS)
But my friend has a Rockford and it kicks @$$! So which one should i get or non of them is good, THX!

how much watts are you looking to run? i have a Rockford Fosgate 300S amp (bridged to push 300 watts) powering a JL 10w6 and it sounds pretty good....bought the amp locally for $225...you can probably pick it up locally too for around that price

buy the fosgate power series, but the punch series are decent.
