Revised 2002 PAX/RTP Index

The 2002 PAX/RTP Index has been revised to include two new classes. STX and Spec Formula Junior.

Note: STR has been dropped.

Any reason given for dropping STR?

I was really interested in running there.

STX looks interesting, but expensive if a Celica wants to be competitive.

If nothing else, though, the local club should have a better PAX showing for STS. For some reason they used the STR index for the 2001 season.

SCCA has dropped STR as a regional class (it will no longer be in the rule book) If you planned to run STR you need to now run STS or STX (both on "street rubber") or make the jump up to DSP or Street Mod.

They don't give one (don't have to) but I would imagine

Lack of participation
The fact that it's really almost Street Prepared anyway
