....the Toyota dealership in my town today. Heh Heh.

My dads been in car sales for like 30 something years, guess I might as well give it a crack and follow in his footsteps. I've found I'm 21 and my life (as far as a career and getting established) is going no where.

Sure I know, why a dealership? I do believe there be honest hard working dealers and not the stereotypical TV sleeveball ones.

Whatcha think? They said they are really interested in hiring me since I have some sales experience, but just a little amount so they can 'train me from scratch'.

They say they don't like to hire people who have been into sales awhile, go figure? :p

hell, ya might as well. I sold cars for a while. It wasn't my thing, but I have friends who make ALOT of money selling cars. I was in the same situation you were in (except my dad never sold cars), and I learned alot from it. One thing, though, that I'm sure you're dad will tell you...stay out of the "circle jerk". That was a really hard thing for me to do, but you gotta be a hustler if you wanna make some money. You gotta take as many ups as you can, not just sit there and talk to the other sales people all day. Good luck man.
