Hi~ I have been looking for Raised CF Hood scoop, and i only one i could find is made by ImprotFan.
Does anyone know if it is good fits? and how is the quaity?
any picture too?

I have it... I have a different opinion on i though...
Fitment: 9 out of 10
Quality: 9 out of 10
Price: ($230 shipped) 5 out of 10 (paid too much I think) I should have gotten it when it was only $60 (that was in the end of 2001)
Overall: IM pretty happy with it... I guess I lucked out on getting one that is OK (appearance/quality wise)...

Oh~ I didn't know that RMM makes a raised CF Hood Scoop, I thought it was a normal Height Scoop....

I think they just gave me, and everyone else in the GB the sh!tty ones...
I bought 2 from them on that GB...one for me, and the other for my buddy...they both have the exact same bad qualities, but one of them even had the CF weave reversed....*decided not to use that one..*

Yes... The scoop is flush... Well there is a little gap (and I mean little) is small enough for at dime not to fit... Im talking really small gap... Hardly noticable but since its my car... I know that its there know what I mean... Yeah that GB took too long... I was on importfan.com's site a lot looking at that CF Scoop... Did you know before Thanksgiving the thing only cost $60.00 and shipping at that time was $60 (insane right?!?!?!)... Then after thanks giving it went up to like $130 then The day before the actual GB started (which was the day I bought mine it went up to $199... I felt so bad cause I could have saved $70 right there... I paid $199+$40 (shipping [they even tried to charge me $60 for shipping but I noticed that it said $40 for shipping on the site] they gave me the $20 off)... I was happy with that... Hoever I didnt get it till two (2) months later... LOL... When I did get it it was still way before people in the GB got theirs... Im happy with it... Im thinking of getting the outer parts painted when I get my CF Hood though... So well have to see... Ooops sorry got carried away there... Later...

I just noticed you have a 6000K HID kit... Few questions for you who are the ballast's made by? I have seen pics of the 6000K from various makers... This another thing that I want to know... The output is white (duh! :D) and purple? It has a purple tint right? Can you post pics? Sorry Im just psyched to get mine... Thanks in advance...

I may start another GB on this. Importfan has hired a lot of new people, and the scoops will be packaged better to prevent damage. Personified just had his shipped to him Friday, and should be getting it very soon. Let's see what he has to say about it. ;)

All I have to say about the packaging is "WHOA!!!"... My scoop was wrapped in so much bubble wrap it made me think "that is why shipping is so expensive"... It took me about a good 5 minutes getting all the bubble wrap off (it took that long cause I didnt want to damage the thing)... I dont think packaging is the problem... Its the shipping cost that really hurts them...

The problem with mine wasn't the shipping, b/c there was no external damage...all the damage was under the clear coat.
air pockets and such....i know this can happen from CF cracking, but there were 0 cracks in the scoop....Good luck to all the pple who recieve their scoop

My point exactly... You get more (too much actually) that your money's worth in shipping... Your're right though come to think about it - It does have some imperfections that cant be fixed...

I think I would give up on the Hood Scoop and start save money for a CF Hood with CF Raised Hood scoop!!!
So which CF hood comes with CF Raised CF Hood Scoop?

I have the Importfan CF Raised Scoop as well and I was pretty upset with the quality of the scoop. I think I paid $160 or so. There is a gap at the bottom of both tips and the CF/ Clearcoat quality is poor. Mine had a huge spider web indent in the clear coat. It wasn't cracked, but it was there, you can see at an angle. I would never buy another one from importfan again unless they could prove to me that they have fixed the quality issues they obviously were having.

There are no CF hoods that come with a raised scoop...
If i could do it all over again, i would have waited and gone with the Rod Millan raised scoop...That one looks good and suttle...I like it. Plus, you know their quality is top notch.

Actually Fiber Images has the CF hood and they can also add the reaised hood scoop. Give AFS a call but I think for the CF hood and CF hood scoop it is $650.00 from Fiber Images. That is still cheaper than what my whole setup is. I got the VIS hood and still waiting for the scoop from Importfan.

Actually, guys, Import Trenz is just about to release a carbon fiber OEM hood with integrated C-One style raised carbon fiber hood scoop. It will be going for $649. Scroll down until you come to the 7/11/02 **New Products** section. It is listed under there.

I got my scoop yesterday and it wasnt bad at all. It just needed a little work. Had a couple of little scratches and thats about it. I can take care of that by buffing it out. Otherwise it looked good.
