View Full Version : Alpine CHA-S634 MP3 cd changer

I did a search and came up blank. Does anyone know if this cd changer actually decodes mp3s or would I need an alpine HU that decodes mp3s? I want to add this changer to my existing cda-7864 HU, but I have to know if the changer does the decoding; Otherwise it would be useless to me since my HU is not capable of playing MP3s.

It actually does the decoding in the changer. I added that changer onto my CDA-7875 deck (which does not read MP3's) and it is awesome. I would definitely suggest it. It takes a long time to get through 6 MP3 disks. :D
