...if it cost $2500 or less?

I'd get the kit installed on a 03' Solar Yellow Celica with 19" 5Zigen Copse wheels (http://www.speedoptions.com/articles/3129/), but what friggin wing would match it?!

I don't think I'd get an aftermarket wing...I'm not into those, and no rinky dinky side mirrors either. And, I am definietly getting this kit after I have FI.

DGibb, looks like that rim isn't the right bolt pattern.. they got 5x114.3, and not 5x100..

I'd love it if I could afford it and the wheels to boot.

would this kit have to be molded on as it appears to be in the pic, if so, wouldn;t that be some substatial body work and re-painting.,...Tim

Looks ok, but I dont think its worth that kind of money. I'd rather spend it on performance parts than a crapload of fiberglass. But I guess if you have everything else for the car, go for it.

I would consider this kit but you have to be aware of the factors involved. This kit upgrade could be permanent on the celica due to molding work with the flares. The front flares would be molded to the fender and the flare work in the back.

Now think about, say you get tired of the widebody look and want whatever kit is out at that current moment. Then it'd be hella expensive to get all that changed. Example, for those whould want to go back for some reason would spend money out the a** to get it fixed.

Plus say you get into an accident or say something cracks where the flares are or what not. Then again, that's major body work to be done. It's not going to come cheap as suppose to a regular kit that can come off and on. The flares on the body kit will be there and wouldn't be able to come off

But if that person has all the money in the world to get things done then hey, more power to you...

I definately have to consider this since a lot of us are on a budget with mods.

I can't even begin to imagine how badly the a knock off of that kit could fit....

Look at the car... it looks like a ****ing high horsepower touring car..... and what do you actually get...... a slow slow car (without all the power that is)

just seems untasteful to me

I understand if the owner would try to race it and it was slow....but to have a car that nice looking just to cruise around in wouldn't be rice....its done tasteful too, so its all good...as long as the owner doesn't race it :)

That is where our opinions differ :) I don't think the kit is very tasteful, its overly aggressive and trying to be something its now :)

actually, in reference to the "knockoff" kit, my friend bryan (2000bluegts) emailed them and they said that's the real kit that was just released at the SEMA show. they told him $850+$300 for the flares.

im all about performance but it would be a double standard to have 2 cars with the kit 1 bein called rice becouse it isnt as quick..i agree on havin the power to back it up though

I just wouldnt call it RICE.

the kit is alot plus just to do the body work and painting will cost an arm and a leg, if i maxed my car out on performance and wanted to just do looks, than i would consider but it will cost a lot

back needs to be higher up....by the back wheels i mean. It doesn't look good with the hard contrast to where to wide body ends..and the big line on the side of the celica.

personally, as a daily driver, i wouldn't get one. trd-celica-gt02 brought up my thoughts exactly. not only is it prone to getting damaged on the streets/parking lots but gas milage would be a biz too!!! it would be a great "show kit." knowing that you have to pay an arm and a leg for the kit, you'd still have to pay your other arm, leg, head and privates for rims to go w/ it; not to mention paint and install. it's a lot more difficult to install a wide body...

Me personally I don't give a rats ass how quick the car is.. when do you need to drive fast if you don't go to the track? (which I don't)... as long as the car looks sweet and can keep up with the rest of the traffic then who cares how fast it is.. that's my opinion from someone who prefers looks over performance..
