hondata can raise the rev limiter, lower vtec engagment, fuel timing, ignition crap and alot of other stuff. After rsx-s gets the hondata ecu reflash they dyno on average 10+ whp and 10+ torque.. thats pretty damn good.

Used to own a RSX-S but prefer my Celi over it. The GTS definitely looks better. The RSX shifter was smoother, but then again I got the wider gates with my 01 Celi. Still wishin I had the 00 style shift gates... then the car would almost be exactly to my spec. Don't get me wrong, RSX is a good car just a bit too soft and conservative for my taste.

the shiftlight is awesome.. helps alot.. i can concentrate more on not missing a gear and on the road. i set it to 8100. its perfect for me.. because of my reaction time..which is slow btw.. :D

I think with a JDM Type R spoiler and some 18" Gunmetal Volks maybe JDM black housing headlamps that RSX will look great! The RSX looks fat IMHO is because the wheels are too small for the car, it looks small with meaty tires.

The Celi is sweet lookin. I'm not biased but honestly RSX looks so much like a beefed up bodied civic. I rather prefer the previous generation Integra over the styling of the RSX. People are paying rediculous prices for the Type S. Its weak styling shouldn't bear the Acura badge as well as its pricing. They should of released it as a regular Honda here in the states cuz it mistakenly looks like a damn civic....doesnt anyone agree?

I would have to agree with you TRD, my g/f doesn't like the new RSX at all, she drives a 98 Integra also and she doesn't like the interior either. She doesn't like the Celica either but she prefers it over the RSX. I am in the market for a new car right now, looked at the RSX and it has awesome seats and as usual a super slick shifter also good power but thats all that really excited me about it. do u have more pic's of the shift light or interior?? i want a shift light but not too sure if i should get the big 1(might look weird) or the smaller 1(i might not see the dame thing blink). where did u get it and how much $$$??

heres mine! nothing special :D the shiftlight and tach came in a great deal! i got it off ebay for $60 shipped for BOTH.. thats why i got the big tach too.. not trying to be rice here... but it was a better deal than getting just a shiftlight :) and i think the new tach is more accurate too! :D

I'll field this one. Can you say Eclipse? It's amazing - they've alienated their entire enthusiast crowd by eliminating the turbo, and sales skyrocket. You've got to give some credit to Mitsubishi marketing folks.

It just goes to show that Joe Average prefers a sporty styled coupe over a sports car, and there are WAY more Joe Average's out there than Enthusiasts.

That hondata ECU upgrade is nice. I've looked around clubrsx and I hate to admit it but with all the power upgrades they have that car could kill us racing. P1SSES ME OFF! Celica looks better of course. Just wish we got the same love from the after market...

There are more balanced Celica owners than RSX owners. Just in my humble little experience. That doesn't mean that there are few intelligent RSX owners, but with it being a Honda, you get way more ricers in a place like ClubRSX (you would be shocked at how many people talk sh!t and dont even have an RSX yet). It's the Honda mentality.

The Hondata ECU is just a better fuel map and lower VTEC crossover switch. My teammates who has RSX-S dyno it and only gain at most 2whp and 3whp by adding cold air intake. Not just one RSX-S they dyno'ed, 4 has the same result, except one was loosing a lot of hp due to his exhaust.

really? wow... people are showing dynos of pretty decent gains with hondata... and lots of people are claiming or posting timeslips of 14.1 and 14.2... i dont know.. this is just what im reading on clubrsx.

Anytime you have an ECU available like the one they have, there is a good potential for some noticeable, meaningful gains. Let's face it, the RSX is a Honda in essence and therefore is going to have one hell of an aftermarket. In a couple years when they have even more of an aftermarket, the GT-S owners won't be able to compete with them much anymore.

I don't know...we do have the XS turbo kit, Blitz SC, and soon maybe the Alpine SC. I know that the RSX-S will have FI as well, but in a few years the GTS will have some more aftermarket as well. Truthfully I think that the GTS has quite a bit of aftermarket. All we are lacking are Cams. We have: Pistons, Rods, Intakes, Exhausts (by the millions hehe), Pullies, LSD's, clutches, flywheels, radiators, tons of suspension parts, what else do you want. Like I said the only thing that we don't have is cams which once it is (I'm hoping) done should be a large gain. Also Honda's right now don't have too many FI kits. More than the Celica but not too many. Maybe in another year we will have 2-3 more? even 1 would be better than none.

I'll admit that the ecu is over hyped, but 2-3 whp?! you show me a dyno where they only gain 2-3 hp and i'll be a believer... all the dynos i have seen show a signifigant gain in hp/tq .... how are these people pulling 14.1's and 14.3's left and right? they claim it and back it up with a slip... so they aren't bsing

yah, i got my dad into 911's my senior year of high school. he won't drive any other car now :) what's cool is that since i got him into it, it's almost like we share the car cause we both have a huge passion for it. we bought it already lowered w/h&r springs and it has the 3 piece speedline 17'' wheels. they are so money. he wants the 18'' turbos though. such a fun car. it's very unique which you'll eventually see from the pics, it's a rare combo of sliver w/red interior and black top. not many have it . he has a killer digital camera and so hopefully it'll be sunny and i can take some pics of it and the celi together. :)

I do bleive it is over hyped but only because they were claiming +20-25hp, when in fact it was making 10. Several dynos prove you wrong. Also the RSX-S boy LOVE the Hondata ECU. There were like 5 different ECU threads before I merged them together.
