GS-T vs GT-S (I lost) :(

well last night I finally got to line up the Eclipse vs Jim (icyjaws) for the first time since Ive modded her..

we got a light, neither of us were revving but we both knew that the other was definitely gonna be going for bragging rights :)...mind you this time last year jim notched a 14.301 @ 99.16mph which was the track record for a while..haha..ok back to my story.. light turns green and neither of us launch but I rev WAY to high..hehe 2500rpms and let the clutch out too fast launching into boost.. spun the wheels allt through 1st.. Jim just lags off the line and takes off..he has a car on my already.. I pop it into 2nd and my left tire starts pouring out smoke cuz there still spinning (DAMN TORQUE)..haha.. I start to get traction now moving at about 40mph.. I throw it in 3rd and FINALLY the tires grip.. Jim is now about 1.5 to 2 cars ahead of me.. we run it from there up to about 90mph where Im edging on him slowly.. we let it off with me at his back bumper. damned traction issues.. he got me and got the bragging rights for the night but we both agreed that my car with traction would have eaten him alive..haha.. gotta love that :)

yeah i know.. 1st gear is simply amazing man.. i can roast the tires at 3/4 throttle in 1st gear.. thats just nuts.. so like 1/2 throttle in 1st, 3/4 in 2nd and WOT in 3rd and up.. just hard to get used to this car from the Celica..

you can only go as fast as your tires will let you :p . It also show what can happen on the street. your is prolly a mid 13 s car but cause someone still can't launch :D. Oh well i got to get the getting while its still good.

I wouldn't call that a Loss.. Just a split. If your inching then you would have won with Higher speeds. I always hate racing and they let off when i'm starting to pull them.. Sucks.. Ohh well

bigger turbo will come in due time.. no rush.. I want to work on the suspension now. my last performance mod is on its way.. Apexi downpipe and test pipe repalcement for the cat... I got lots of work to do to the car and Im happy with the speed i got for now..

Get some decent tires on that car larry, and an LSD asap would not hurt. Your going to learn otherwise that launching an GS-T sucks.

nah i dont need to crank the boost to beat him..just avoiding smokign my tires through 2nd would do it :).. and I give u credit Jim.. just not to your face..
