car storage

Im storing my car away for the winter....for about a couple months...is it bad to disconnect the battery? i have an alarm system that stays on and blue blinky lights,,im worried they will drain the batter...comments plz

I think it would be a good idea to disconnect the battery, or at least the negative terminal and make sure the loose cable won't touch anything.

I don't know if the winter is long enough to consider some of the other long term storage options (draining the gas tank, putting the car up on jacks). I don't think it would be.
