We set up the race almost 3 weeks ago and finally we got a chance to run 3 weeks later.

We ran 8 times the first 3 from a roll. The first race I miss 3rd and on the second race I missed 2nd gear so he won very easily. The 3rd race from a roll had him by my side door in 1st and 2nd and by 3rd@8200 he was by my rear wheel and by 4th @8000 and I shut it after that and he was at my rear bumper.

The last 5 were from a light but only 2 runs were from red light green light. The RSX-S was dumping his clutch and I was feathering it @4000 and by the end of 1st he was by my door and at the end of 3rd he was at my rear bumper. Then we got a chance to go at it from a roll again and this one was a lot closer. 1st, 2nd and 3rd had him at my side door and 4th at my rear wheel, but I was pushing the car near fuel cut off just to keep the lead. You "can't" shift @8000 past 2nd or they'll start pulling even with you and they have a pretty mean 3rd gear cause he was pulling hard in 3rd. By 3rd gear he was pulling near my front wheel, but the shift into 4th dropped him back and I kept 3rd@8200-8300rpms and by the end of 4th he was at the rear wheel.. The last one had his buddy w/GTS honk 3 times cause the light was already green. That race was like the redlight green light race. He's spinning the tires to much at the launch. I think he was dumping the clutch as opposed to slipping it. I slipped @3800-4000 and the car just bit right away. Grant it i have Kuhmo's 712 and he's got the stock Michelin's. Kuhmo's treadwear 280 vs Michelin's 300.. I don't think I have that much of an advantage. Anyway I won by a rear bumper on the last race.

The RSX-S had a K&N cone filter which was okay, but I still want to run one with CAI..

Like I said it's still a driver's race between the two and if one of the driver's misses one of the gears or doesn't launch properly then the other car will win, but driven properly our car is a little faster..:)

you need to learn to launch like that crazy prelude driver. launch in VVTL-i :D

you'd probably have to if you raced one with a CAI.

Actually it's stupid why I missed the damn shift. My gf was driving the car the night before and she sits really close. When I left to race him I didn't adjust the seats very well and noticed I was stretching my leg to press down the clutch, my bad. I adjusted the seat after the 2nd race and bingo never lost or mis-shifted again.

I launched in lift @the track twice I think and once in the street against TT300Z and that I FU$ked up cause my clutch was smokin for a long time. I was scared $hitle$$. When I launched in lift my track time wasn't better than my best time of 14.5. I'll launch @4000-5000k most of the time. Nowadays I try and keep it @4000 below on street races. Trying to preserve my baby.. I don't think you have to launch very high to win against an RSX-S, they're not that fast. Just make sure you shift @8200-8300rpms on every shift, cause in 3rd from a roll he pulled his nose close to my front wheel, but dropped back when he shifted into 4th and ended at my rear wheel. Reminded me of races against an ITR if you don't get the jump they'll eventually win cause they're shifting a lot later than we are in going into 4th. My friends ITR would always win the 3rd to 4th shift cause no matter how long I keep the gear he has a little more to play with.

t2000gts: I heard you and cliff and other GTS owners are meeting up in long island on the 6th of Jan. I'll be back home on vacation so I'll be there to see some of the east coast gts kick some si ass.:D

He's also got a LSD :)

I know it's not impossible without it, but it must help a lot.

GTS should pick fights with RSX-S and the like. SI's are GT territory (Assumptions based on stock or slightly modded configurations) As we all well know, the GTS has at least a $5000 "advantage" over the SI.

Now if the SI and you are modded heavily and the SI driver is being a dlck, then by all means, burn him
