You guys...I have decided that I'm gettin the Celica and not the Eclipse...I have to save 2-1K dollars more to get the Celi but I am having a huge debate with myself about eiter the Yellow or Red? What do you guys think...put it in the poll too. I have also considered Spectra Blue and White...but red or yellow is me. Whad da ya think?

Well, since you're asking for a personal opinion, I can say I hate yellow. To me it is a very feminine color, and unless you're driving around a Lamborghini or a Ferrari, I think the color way to loud and girly. It doesn't work on a $24K sports coupe. I always thought that was the one downside of the Integra R, I could never understand why anyone would buy that car in Yellow.
So, I say go with red.

I've seen the yellow in person, and it does NOT look like that. It's a really pale blah yellow. I say get the red.

In person the yellow sucks IMO. It's not THAT bad, it's not like that WRX yellow, but the red on the celica is really striking.

i haven't seen it in person yet...I have seen red and love it...but from what you guys are saying is that the yellow doesn't look like that yellow and doesn't look like a s2k yellow either

if you get the yellow you'll be happy for a few months then you'll look at it and say. $HIT i have a yellow car.
exotic car you'll be able to pull off yellow, not in a celica.

my eclipse was white...it was really nice and all and I do like white...but there are a lot of white cars on the road and this red really stands out. Red was the color I was gonna get for a 02 but got my eclipse instead...now that they came out with yellow I was thinking about it but i think I'll stay with red..white is nice though especially the celica.hmmmm but red is nicer

yellow! my car is the Solar Yellow....we got the solar yellow color up here in Canada for the 2002 model...

i saw the yellow up close @ the international auto show this past weekend, i think it looks VERY nice, though i havent seen oen on the road yet. my favorite is still black though.

It really is a matter of personal taste. Red Celica owners will tell you to get a red one, yellow Celica owners will tell you to get a yellow car. I personnally think yellow cars really stand out because it's a less common color for a car.
I was to buy a silver Celi, but a few weeks before the date I had set to change my car, I drove in front of the dealership and my eyes got caught by this unfamiliar bright yellow car. Man I tell you, I went directly in the showroom, talked to a salesman, and made the deal right away, 2 months earlier than planned. I've been driving my yellow Celica now for almost a year, and I'm still really proud of it. It's the only yellow Celi in town. And I love it. People kept telling me, "You'll get tired of it". Nah... No way. Not me. But I agree, yellow is not for everyone. It is for me though.
Just my 0.02 cents.

I think BOTH colors are good for that. Yellow is probably even worse because you can't fuggin' miss it at night. It's too damn bright!

I like the yellow but if it's not a deep color yellow then I'd go for the red.

Here were the color preference I gave to my friend(sales) when I was going to get the celica:
1. Black
2. White
3. Yellow
4. Anything else
To me, I'm saving my first red car for that ferrari that I will be getting...
Yellow is a nice color, but it sure does attract a lot of attention...I just missed having a black car (my first car was black)...the gleam after you wash it...it looks spectacular...

well if u get yellow, you'll be somewhat unique. i see a lot of red celicas on the road. kinda like all the silver, spec blue and CB celicas out there. so i would say get yellow.

Go with the red, since personally I think it's the only color that will match the tail lights. Gettin' yellow will make the tail lights look too pink!

Hey! I just bought a 2003 yellow celica and it is the phatest car in my town. RED is SO ordinary. And the yellow LOOKS NICE on the new celi!!!

Yeh I've been thinking about getting a 2g but only 99' GST/X dropping a T3/T4 60 Trim, and all the other goodies with it so I had to make up my mind. Celica IMO looks better, is new, and I think I could get a ~13.5~ on the bottle maybe better. Eclipse still looks good but not as good, 4 years old, more maintance (I used to have a 95 T), but with the mod list I planned could have run a 11.5. So I decided that what I wanted was a car that looks good, can keep up with Supras (stock :chuckles: ) and one that is brand new. I'm 17 I don't need something that does 11.5, 13.5 is fast to me
Mods planning for Celica: AEM CAI, Kazuma Cat back, TRD header (if price drops some but maybe I'll get it anyway), AMSS dp, Tanabe Super Downs, KYB or Koni Struts haven't decided yet, TRD LSD, TRD clutch/pressure plate, Oil cooler :thumbup: , 50 shot, then the major stuff if I get money like P&P and possibly Alpine SC. If I'm gonna get the SC then I wont get the 50 shot. But I think with all those mods some drag radials and a the NOS it could run 13.5. With the SC it'd be even faster and with P&P I bet high 12's are possible on race gas

Yep, very true. I am 18 and I was so close to getting a new car. I was looking at the new eclipse and celica's....i actually drew up an order on an eclipse but then changed my mind. It is so hard to let my baby go. But I really do like the looks of the Celicas!
