It would probably fit, but it wouldn't work. You would need to buy the CAI designed for the particular type of car and tranny.

It wouldn't work in what Way? It'll allow the engine to breathe more just like the GTS would so how wouldn't it work?

Yea yota didn't know what he was talkin about. I'm sure it will "work" all it does is suck up air...I just need to know if it will fit. Thanks.

Cmon guys....no one knows the answer to this? ....

It might, and it might not. :D

I don't know if anybody has measured it, but the opening of the throttle bodies of the GT and GT-S may be different. If the GT-S's is bigger, the hose used to attach the CAI may be too loose fpr the GT and cause an air leak. The inside diameter of the intakes piping may be different between the two intakes, too. Both of these most likely will mess up aerodynamics of the system, restricting air flow.

Also, I'm pretty sure the position of the throttle body is different betweent the two engines, so there may be either not enough space to fit the upper part of intake in the engine bay, or the upper part may not be long enough to reach the throttle body.

Why don't you just buy the intake made for your car and eliminate all of these possible problems? :)

Because all I can find on Ebay is CAI for a GTS

Actually, I DO know what I am talking about. Like Blue Bomber stated, the throttle bodies are not the same size. Why don't you just buy an Injen CAI from the Newcelica.org Store (http://www.newcelica.org/other/store/index.htm)? You can get it for $205 shipped which is cheaper than you can get it on Ebay for.

No you said it would probably fit but wouldn't work...like blue bomber stated...IT WOULDNT FIT because the throttle bodies are different size. All it is is a device that sucks up air, and if it were to fit then it WOULD work. The intake has nothing to do with a particular type of car or tranny like you said before, therefore you dont know what you are talking about.

Sorry if I wasn't specific. I am really tired, and at work.

Are the throttle bodies a different size? Also the throttle body of a gt-s is on an angle as opposed to the GT which is straight on.

Injen CAI is not interchangeable between two models. At least not the way it comes. If you get a longer gromet, you might be able to fit it, but it'll look fugly.

one clue for figuring this question out (and others like it), it this: if they were interchangable in every way, wouldn't injen just list one part number for it? like a universal fit for tails or wings. there is some difference (what difference, i don't know). with a part that affects performance, why take the chance. it's cheaper for injen to produce one part if it will work. but they don't. which means you probably shouldn't try to force it.
