Hi all,
I just bought a 2000 GT-S and am quite impressed! I had a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins Turbo Diesel 24V that was getting a little worn out from all of the commuting. So I traded it in for the Celica. Being a motorcycle rider, the acceleration is something I am quite used to, but certainly not in a car. I have found the car to be a fun vehicle and I am sure I will enjoy having it.

Right now, it is bone stock. I plan to make the following changes in the next few months:

Tint Windows (A must in any vehicle)
New, better tires
Intake (I don't think I want the CAI because of the wet climate and puddles)
Exhaust

I do have a question. I did a search on the board for this, but did not find anything. Does anyone know how to make the stupid seatbelt lights not flash? Yeah, yeah, spare me the speech on seatbelts, I just want to know how to make the lights not flash. I still haven't figured out what is more dangerous, not having the seatbelt on, or the possibility of a full-on epileptic conniption fit from the flashing red lights.

Thanks all for reading my post.

Welcome aboard.

You should be able to find a tutorial for the seat belt flashers in the installs section. I'm not sure where, but I know we have it somewhere.

Enjoy the forums.

CAI is the way to go. The sound in lift is awesome. Keep in mind that the puddles would have to be rather deep for it to be a concern.

I think the seatbelt one is listed under something like getting rid of the little guy or something to that affect...

Any idea how deep? I live in New England, it gets pretty nasty here in the winter...

...still no luck finding the Seatbelt thing. I'll keep looking...

Thanks everyone.

yea get a cai, the whole filter has to be submerged to hydrolock, dont worry about it, if anything just get a splash guard or tape the holes up with duct tape.... duct tape works wonders for everything

Hey,
I still cannot find the seatbelt article. Can anyone provide a link?

Also,
I set up the "Cabin Filter" today using a "Filtrete" filter. That's a great tip.

Got the dealer to replace BOTH headlights on the car. I had noticed a little condensation in them and was still under 36K. Now I just need to get them to replace my tires!!
