Well a couple of my buddies and I were going to the movies to see Ali, but it was sold out so we left. Coming home there was this dark a$$ street, and I made a left. About 2 seconds later I see blue lights coming out of nowhere. I was like WTF. I wasn't speeding. He comes over and says "there's a sign there that says no left turns." I was like what, I said "I didn't see any signs." "Yeah, I've been pulling people over all night for that." It took him awhile to get back to the car so I knew I was going to get a ticket. The good news is that RIGHT before I made that turn, I told my passenger to buckle up. He argued with me for a second, but I'm glad he did. Any body know approx. how much this ticket is going to me?
This is my third ticket. I swear everytime I have one of my friend's friend in my car something bad happens. The first time.............well, I'll plead the Fifth on that one.

Dude, I feel ya bro. I am like the ticket queen. All my friends drive around like crazy and I am the only one that gets tickets and it's always for stupid sh*t.
The other night I'm following this Rav4 and the cop pulls me over and not him and I'm like WTF! When I asked him about it, he goes, "well his time will come." What kind of bullsh*t comment is that. Then I sat there for like 20 minutes asking him if it bothered him that he works for such a corrupt system where cops abuse their power and even if he's a good cop, that they ruin his reputaion too. And this was after another cop tailgated me for like 20 minutes down a bunch of residential streets. Man, I have SO many phucked up cop stories, I will stop ranting now...

That's the same stuff that happened to me. When we were going to the movies, the other guy was in a in a old 4-door Cavalier going 80+mph in a 55. I could barely keep up with him. I was trailing him from like a mile away. He drove the ENTIRE way to the movies like that. I'm like WTF, he's a fast a$$ driver and he still doesn't have a ticket. I only drive 10mph over the speed limit now since my last ticket. And I get this ticket.

It's the CAR!!!
Pre-Celica: 12 years of driving ONE speeding ticket!
With Celica: 1 Year of driving THREE speeding tickets and ONE failure to wear seatbelt ticket. (Ps. I have beaten all but 1 speeding ticket in court!)
My driving style has not changed one bit as I drove fast before I got my Celica.
Plain and simple, the car just attracts too much attention!

I think it's the car too. When I drove my mom's '84 Corolla and dad's '91 truck, I had no tickets. Got the Celica and within a one yr span got three. My driving style didn't change either.

Definitely agree about the car.
97 Toyota 4Runner Limited: 6 years - one ticket, 3 warnings.
00 + 01 Toyota Celica: 2 years - one ticket, one warning
I just got that last ticket for taking an exit from the left turn lane. Around here, people have a habit of going 60mph from one exit ramp to another. I passed the guy just in time to make the next exit and the freakin' cop gave me a ticket for making a "right turn from the wrong lane." I was so pissed too because it as the night that my fiancee's grandfather was with the hospice nurses and later passed that night. He had no sympathy.

I agree! My driving style hasn't changed either. It must be the red Celica with black graphics down the side!
Just last night I'm driving home and some little POS old model Corolla is like tailgaiting everyone and is driving like 15-20 over. I was on a street here notorious for cops and so I am chillin and see 2 bike cops clocking EVERYONE on the side of the road. How they missed her, I don't phucking know, but you know they woulda come after my ass right away if I had decided to keep up with her...*aaaaaargh*
Oh well, I love my Celi, so I guess that is the price we pay for having our cars > being high profile and not very low-key.

it's definitely the car. I drove an older style mercedes 300E for 3 years and never got pulled over once. In the past year and a half I've gotten 2 speeding tickets and about 5 warnings in the celica. And my car is black too... doesn't stand out as much as a red or silver one. I took out my friends red supra once for about 15min and got pulled over... wasn't doing anything close to excessive. It has everything to do with the car.
98 4runner = 1 ticket in '99 and 1 in '00
Celica = 3 tickets this year !!!!!!!!!!!! 1 in march, one in november and one this ****ing december that I just paid last week !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! aaarrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!! .. I seem to get the tickets everytime that I'm careless and just speed for a few seconds. They are never there when I'm driving by or at least within 5 miles of the speed limit 90% of the friggin time!

Well, last month me and a friend were coming back from the movies, he was in his stang and I was in my (then)Integra, and we were racing a bit at the lights... Then all of a sudden, my I see these lights behind me, my friend was pulled over, and I was thinkin, damn I feel bad for this guy getting pulled over... But then I look again and I see more sirens and lights, its another pig... So anyways they pulled me over and slap me with 3 tickets,
1) My exhaust was too loud(but the ticket said improper)
2) Wrong colour lights
3) Failure to show Insurance
Well, I was pretty freaked out cause I was doing 120-140km/h at an 80km zone, so anyways after an hour of sitting in my car, I got off with a $310 fine, and my friend got about $350... But the thing is the cop told me to step on the gas and he listened to my exhaust and said, yah, thats loud. Then i showed him my insurance paper(I didn't know it was expired) and he gave me another ticket, anways, it turns out the address on my insurance is wrong.. But yah, I'm gonna fight this, this is just bullsh*t... Damn pig had a bad attitude too, the way I see it, instead of catching us law abidding citizens, they should go catch some real crooks, and if you gonna give me a ticket, hurry it up and not take a friggin hour to write my name and plate number... Don't mind me, just had to vent :D :D
BTW what do you guys think my tactics in court should be? This is my first ticket(s) so any tips on how to fight it would be appreciated.
when you get caught, do everything you can, lie your ass of :D it help :D
While ago, i was just trying to exit from a gas station, and a stupid guy blocking my way out....couldn't move for like 5 min. When i finally got out, i was real mad....push the gas pedal too hard and i was doing like 60-70mph in the 45mph zone...cut off one car infront of me and cut in his lane and made a turn right.....dindn't see there a cop waiting to make a left turn on the other direction ....he was after me, i got pulled over  I lied my ass of for that one....telling him that i was in hurry to go home...need to use the toilet:D :D ....finally he gave me a warning and said just becuz i was sick, doesn't mean i should be driving dangerous, cutting pple like that.....:p

solution : dont speed
do you ever see how ferrari drivers drive? like slow bitches.
when you see a raced out car driving slow.....REALLY slow....you know something is up.
that way, we also go from "looks fast"
to... "is fast"
don't drive aggressively. Driving fast makes you look slow.
Driving slow makes you look fast.
Maybe its just my area.
Too many old italian dudes and their ferraris. They like to race.
Nothing better than seeing two sexy italian ladies goin at each others throats (the cars, not their wives).

ok,
i have a black celica
15% tint, altezzas, blue turn/blue parking... blue headlights
and i got pulled over once coming home from work, cause well the cop that pulled me over comes into my job all the time and i hook cops u so he let me go, plus i had my pba card and he still gave it back to me
they key is you gotta know ur surroundings
most cops purposely sit on straight away streets like in a parking lot etc cause they know ppl will speed or they can find something
also, a cop gives u the ticket and doesnt give a crap cause thats what court is for at least in nj
he gives u a bs ticket obviously u are going to fight it, by going to court the cop just made the town moeny cause u have to pay a court fee then u can prolly get the bs ticket thrown out or u will end up with like delaying of traffic, that money goes to to town
tahts why cops have quotas
they are used to make money... for the town and state
thats why cops will be all over the place tonite, easy picking.. dwi ticket is like 350 plus a surcharge from teh state, u get it up the ass
so, there are good cops out there, but most of them especially in borining suburban towns.... so they like to bother ppl especically ones with nic "supped" up cars....
but i will msot likely get pulled over or get stopped at a dui stop just cauz my car brings attention, u just gotta drive more cautiously
p.s by telling the cop why we live in such a corrupt system will just piss him off.. they dont like smarta$$es.... especailly when ur a girl... most girls get off. just show some clevage or be nice/cry... but i take it u must not be that good looking ;-) lol jking.. just funny how most of my friends get off of tickets but the uglier/fatter ones get tickets

" But the thing is the cop told me to step on the gas and he listened to my exhaust and said, yah, thats loud."
Hey dawg, a cop cant MAKE u hit da gas. thats basically entrapment right there cuz when u just step on da gas, ur RPMs are usually higher then when u drive and thus making ur exhaust louder. And did da cop test ur exhaust with a decibal meter or anything that tests loudness of da exhaust? if not, then he technically cant give u a ticket for that.

I was wondering how many of you people actually take the ticket to court and try to get away with a ticket. I recently got a ticket for crossing a red light because I thought I could beat it and I know I did, except for this cop (dumbass POS) said I almost beat it but my back-half of the car was still in the intersection when the light turned red. Basically my question is if you take your ticket to court and try to fight it, does the cop usually show up to court or not because if he doesn't show up isn't that like automatic pass (as in not guilty of the ticket)?
Oh yea also, when I got the ticket, I didnt' even go over the speed limit. So this should help me too right? If I do go to court to fight it shold I bring my passenger that was in the car with me at the time of the incident?
Thanks.

Hey folks,
If ya fight a ticket and the cop doesn't show up you don't get a ticket.
And if, like here in Toronto, you worry about demerit points, EVERYONE fights tickets. My dad, since I gotta translate for him, has gotten out of 2 tickets (running a red - well, trying to outrun one) and speeding and I myself, after going to court (no fees to go to court here) got my ticket reduced from $320 to $100 (the DA was so flooded that day he basically gave all of us a choice, fight or get it reduced 2 steps. Since I saw the cop who gave me the ticket there, I picked the latter (BTW the ticket was speeding, 100 in a 60 zone)
Right now, only 2 tickets in the past 7 years (I should have fought my last one, speeding 65 in a 50 kph zone!) but it was only $40 so I paid it...little did I know my insurance would go up $700!
The best tickets are the BS ones that even the cop probably doesn't care about. I remember getting 2 tickets, following too closely (women was in the left lane doing 80 in a 90 khp highway) and not having my ownership. I got a lawyer to fight the tickets (couldn't go to court, work) and I got a letter about a year after the ticket notices got to me indicating that my charges were dropped! I had to call my laywer to ask if it was legit!

it is absolutely without question the car. the cop thinks to himself/herself ... why does this person own a sporty car. for the purpose, in most cases, of high speed driving. even to someone who doesn't know about cars at all, the celica looks fast, sporty. the car i drive, doesn't attract any attention at all. so, life is easier. sorry guys, i just its just keeping in mind that the only way to define the car is cop magnet.

Cops don't fu.ck with bikes much. I have passed cops speeding like hell on my bike and never been pulled over. The last time that happened I was sure I was going to go to jail. He either didn't see me which I doubt(I went by probably 5 feet from the front of his car), or he just knew he wouldn't be able to catch up to me because I never saw his lights come on. In my celica I would have had a ticket for sure.

With some cops a fast looking car helps, especially a red one. I have got off plenty because deep inside every cop is a driving enthusiast. So I say be blatent and tell em you were just having fun driving a fast car. And make it red w/ and action package. My g/f tried this in a Porsche doing 92 in a 50 and got off w/ a warning. I used this method many times. Of course sometimes the driver enthusiast leaves the cop, especially if many others saw it. It's best on a backroad and if you are alone.

All N/C org members should fight all tickets if for no other reason than to clog the system so others can speed while the cop is in court!!!! HA!!!!

When I had my civic, I got pulled over once and almost got arrested. Anyways, he tried to tell me that I had NOS!!!! I was like What!! I kept on saying it's the intake manifold. I think it even says honda on it!!!! They cuffed me for other stuff but didnt take me in. They just let me go after 4 hours. Freezing my ass off. I got pulled over for my exhaust being too loud. But it wasn't really that loud. I got that exhaust because i didn't want something loud. It was a DC Sports exhaust by the way. Also had headers and intake and all this other crap. slammed to the ground with kit. They searched my car and everything. A cop was over my house today and I wanted to ****in knock him in his nose. Oh, he's my aunts boyfriend by the way. Heeehehe
