i'm posting this b/c i know some of you are interested in this kit. i was talking to this guy that owns allbodykits.com and he said he can sell his veilside replica for $475 plus shipping $140 residential, a business address will be cheaper, this isnt a group buy either. i think they usually go for around $600-$500 something so i guess its a good deal. contact me if you want the hook up.

the only Good thing i've heard about replica kits is only good for the body shop, theyre going to make more money getting the kit thats usually a bad mold to find your car therefore taking more hours to do and making them a hell of alot more money.

I got one from AFS Motorsports and it fits PERFECT, My friends think it's eurathane,They cant understand how a fibeglass kit could fit so well. I Love Mine! I couldn't see paying 1600-2000 for the real one when mine olny cost 600.00 Shipped and fits great,Even has the VeilSide logo molded right into the back bumper like the original. Can't Lose IMO.

Get the real stuff. Not only to replicas usually have a poor fit in general, but it just gives people who use em kind of that "wannabe" reputation (no offense to those who have replicas). You're probly gonna end up paying more than what it would be to purchase an original in the long run. And to those who have replicas who said their kits fit great, just watch when you hit something fairly hard... RRRRIIIIIIIIIIPPPP!!!!! :chuckles:

You hit somthing fairly hard with the original,Also (FIBERGLASS) kit and RRRRIIIIIIIIIIPPPP!!!! Same Thing, Plus nobody will think your a wannabe if they dont know. Why not save 1200.00 and put it towards some GO to back up the SHOW! I agree there are some bad replicas, but there are also some very good ones too.

i don't understand how a company can make a replica kit of the veilside and still use veilsides logo on the back bumper. would't that be against copyright laws????

you must be one of them..the ones that buy replicas and makes us look bad.....

just kidding...Fiberglass isn't that bad. How often you do hit something hard anyways? You gotta be an idiot to hit something......something usually hits you....and if it does..it's their fault. But i agree when it comes to debris....when debris hits your front....it chips off the paint...leaving the nasty stuff...and it might spiderweb on ya too...fiberglass does suck..but it's a lot lighter then urethane..

The real Veilside is fiberglass but unlike American fiberglass, Japanese fiberglass is high quality.

I don't think its a matter of where it comes from. its more how well its manufactured. Any company can make a good quality fiberglass product. Its a matter of if they do or not.

not necessarily, I know that Veilside are hand laid and the material is a compound of fiberglass with plasticity that is lightweight for racing. On impact the kit does not shatter, it dents or bends.

u may think you got a good deal, but from what I hear from people that buy these kits is that they fall apart a year later or soon after they get it on.

i can actually tell real veilside from fake, so dont try to throw out that it looks the same. real veilside I have been looking at pictures from when the first kit was sent to the u.s.

a good analogy: I can tell the difference between Italian leather from pleather.

I think if you put my car next to one with a Real VeilSide kit, you couldn't tell. Because Iv'e done it. My friend bought the real one and He was mad because mine looked just as good. Mostly mad that I saved $1200.00!!!!

I must have gotten extremly lucky then, cause we even got underneath, popped the hoods and everything looked identical.
all the factory holes, mounting locations no gaps in either kit.
even says VeilSide in the same location.

mine is a replica and mind all of the real owners of the kit, but mine is better constructed than the real deal....
mine fits perfect dunno....
