I wanted to ask this question, because my friend got his new wheels and tires, and he was told they wouldn't rub. He thought he was okay until he loaded pretty hard on a corner, and his tires were rubbin like a beeeatch. If I corner hard, should i go with 235/40's, or am I stuck with the Nitto NT 555 225/40's. You can check my sig to see the mods and my drop is 1.6 front, 1.8 rear.

I think anything wider than a 225 will rub.
i have heard of someone w/ 235-40-17 without scrubbing problems on a 17x7. I was wondering about the extra width myself with the 17x8. Also guys are running 225-40-18 on 18x8 without problems. I guess it will depend on your lowering if any.
