Just curious how many people are looking into getting there kit. They're saying its going to put down somewhere around 250hp to the wheels. It will come with a Apexi power FC pre programmed with the turbos setup. The total package will be aproximately $4900. Anyone interested. I sure am.

i am deffinently interested. i am leaning torward EIP tuning tho. if xs kit can accomindate 15 psi boost with future internal upgrade, then i'll deffinently get it. if not i'll just save more money and send it to EIP tuning for total engine work.

One of the Hawaii owners is running the prototype (of the public release kit)... techs from XS have been traveling back and forth to help with the tuning and working little bugs out here and there.
Another Hawaii owner has already pre-ordered (and prepaid), but the kit is NOT RELEASED yet... he won't recieve his until it is.

Well sure you can pre-order it now. But They don't guarantee that you will get in in Jan. '03. It's like the Greddy website, they say they're working on a GTS header but it's been there for 2 years now with no results.

One person I know already pre-ordered thru the shop here that is helping with the R&D of the prototype kit (www.hypersportsracing.com)... so yes, you can do that if you like, but until the kit is officially released (which it isn't), it won't be shipping here. Only the owner with the prototype is going to be running the kit until then. If they're taking pre-orders, for delivery slated at a later time, that's what I mean by not released yet. Delivery will begin with the official release of the kit, which should be soon.
Thanks for posting that info again Keyshawn! I was wondering why it was taking you so long to show up, hehe. :D

Heh, yeah, I haven't been as active on the board lately. Just wanna lend you a hand in clearing up some of the conflicting info about the XS kit that pops up on this site over and over.

I talked to my friends at Hypers today btw... the kit is scheduled to release on time, at the LATEST end of January. It will be available next month definitely. ;)

any word on how the prototype kit is running on that black celica in hawaii? Last time I read a thread about this, you said that his car was smoking and that he had to drive really slow. Any updates?

turned out to be a mis-run line... he figured it out and the car is not smoking anymore. ;) He's still waiting on a tuner from XS (wasn't Eric this time, but I forgot his name) to get back to Hawaii to complete the tuning of the car. The ACT clutch is ready to go. So far so good, but he's still babying the car until he gets it tuned and all the bugs are worked out... this means driving at 3-4k rpm or less.

How did PowerFC work with the turbo? We have to replace the MAF sensor because stock sensor is not good enough for amount of air flow by the turbo thats why our computer goes crazy, and according Apexi PowerFC uses all stock sensor so how do they bypass that? A good question for someone when they call up XS engineering.

mmm... the stock MAF sensor is being used. I don't think he's run into this problem yet an this stage of tuning... but if you think about it, the Power FC replaces the ECU that is going crazy in your car. It's not going to "go crazy" so to speak because it doesn't have to stick to the parameters that your stock ECU must.

The very first GTS that has the XS turbo blew up. Now the owner's getting the internals done. He was running around 280hp(crank)<---thats what he said:)
