Just to keep all you up to date with my project we dyno'd my 2000 GTS sport-o-matic today. I can't tell you what the car would have done because just prior to 6000 rpm and before hitting lift we felt the tranny slip. We checked the tranny fluid and found air bubbles in it and it seemed real hot. We decided instead of frying the clutches in the tranny we would not do another pull. It seems that the temp. sensor on the tranny sends back a signal to the factory ecu and either add fuel or retards the ignition as the HP dropped like a rock just prior to lift. The tranny cooler tube in front of the a/c coil is just not enough to keep the tranny cool on the dyno with a 20 mph fan blowing. In the real world on the highway the car when it hits lift and runs like a raped ape. So even with 5 psi, a leaky Turbo Performance manifold and a t-3 with bad seals also from Turbo Performance the car did the following. Baseline to 6000 rpm with cai and cat-back was 90 sae hp. With the turbo baseline to 6000 rpm is now 141.3 sae hp. Huge difference from stock to now. Were going to install a at cooler and hopefully this will keep the tranny cool and stop the ecu from doing its thing next time on the dyno. The shop feels that the car is putting out 210-220 right now but we can't confirm that. The internals and ems are on hold right now till we can get past this setback. I'm going to send back to Turbo Performance there leaking manifold, t-3 and ic piping. We are fabbing a ss manifold and getting a t-3/4 hybrid with 50 trim ball bearings instead of the crappy seals in the t-3 that is blowing some oil past the seals. I'll keep all you guys informed.
