Wasn't F&F originally called REDLINED? Or was it REDLINE?

I rented it last weekend. I saw the Celica on the cover and just HAD to rent it. Ok, the facts:

1. The movie is filmed in Australia. The movie is imported.

2. The movie is pretty good and has a funny ending. Nothing at all like F&F, the beginning starts out really weird and not making any sense, but a plot develops and the movie hardly has to do with cars.

3. Most of the cars are Nissan Skylines.

4. THERE IS NO CELICA IN THE MOVIE!!!!!! I WAS LIKE "FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!" I think they showed a green Celica for like 1 second in a parking lot....

F & F was originally called Redline and I think they still use it as a working title in Japan... I have never seen that movie Redlined I wonder if its any good...

Hmm... looks like a cheaply made street racng movie... oh wait, that was F&TF... my bad. ;)

I will say this again ..

The movie has NOTHING TO DO WITH STREET RACING.

The title is really misleading. It's about cops and bad guys, and the cops (who drive normal cars) are trying to catch the bad guys in the act dealing drugs. The bad guys happen to drive modified imports. There is nothing special about the movie. The "race" at the end is a Skyline and Porsche driving around slowly in first gear hiding around crates at some dock....

Just rent it for kicks ... then you'll be like WTF how can they advertise a movie like this.
