does anyone have them on here?
i wanted a little bit of purple so im thinking about these.
i was planning on the mcchulan(spelling?) but then i saw there site and the bulb is coated blue.
anything that has a coating on it makes the output not as good so im looking into these.
how much can i get these for and does anyone have pics of them on our cars?
thanks

Philips Ultinon is what you're thinking of. Only thing that sucks about them is light output blows compared with the standard bulbs.

yeah i got them and sold them already and went back to my cheap bulbs...which were brighter it seemed... xenondepots are coated blue, i think it cuts down on visibility

Hey Silver-toy, got any pics of your 7000K set? I'm thinking of getting the same ones and wanted to see what they look like on a Celica. Any problems with them?

Never mind. I found Redline's pics.

Thanks

well what im talking about is the uncoated phillips 6000k bulbs.
i know there was a group buy for the 5000k but that was a coated blue bulb. this is clear and has a little puprle on the thing next to the bulb.
a lot of rsx's have them and they are bright as hell with purple to them.
why do you guys think the 6k bulbs arent bright? i was planning on the 5000k mcchulan bulbs that are coated and ive seen pics of them and they are still really bright. these are a little higher but uncoated but i thought they would be brigher.

Go with the 6000k Phillips. They put out less lumens then the 4300k, but they put out more than a standard halogen. They are the perfect combination of function and looks.

Phillips doesn't make a 5000k bulb, it's just a regular 4300k bulb coated blue, so therefore it would put out less light than probably a normal halogen.

yea thats what i was thinking.
the 4300k kit coated blue is there advertised 5000k kit but i would think it would put out less light than the 6k's because the 6k is uncoated. i thought the 6k phillips where actually 5400 anyway.

He usually takes a few days to reply. I bet he gets hundreds of emails a day.

I have the misterjung 7k kit and love them. The light output rivals almost all of the luxury cars with HIDs that I drive by on the road (at least what you can tell with the visible eye). When i first ordered the misterjungs, i kinda wish I had gotten the philips in the first place, but after using these, i am completely satisfied and glad i saved a few hundred. :)

I just wish I got the 6k instead of the 7's.... A few dummies on the road have high beamed me already though. :D

Redline, just curious why you wish you got the 6k instead of 7k?

Phillips Ultinon bulbs are advertised at 6000K but are actually 5800K. They are uncoated and use metal halides to get the purple tint. Unfortunately their light output is only 2400 lumens compared with 3200 lumens for the standard 4150K (advertised as 4300K) Phillips bulb. That a 25% reduction...I don't like that.

I got a 5000K Xenon Technologies kit and it's bright as hell! But I've got a 'Trix and the housing is larger then the Celi so it probably throws out more light. www.xenontechnologies.com
