Welcome to the forums <IMG SRC="http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/smilies/cwm11.gif" border=0>. And congrats on the Celica (it's sell-ick-ka, not se-leek-ka http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/wink.gif).

The filter won't make any difference in power, but the exhaust will give a couple horsepower. Full intakes, especially Cold Air Intakes, are the most effective engine mod so far, barring Nitrous/Turbo/Supercharger.

The <a href="http://www.newcelica.org/other/dyno/index.htm" target="_self">NewCelica.org dyno section</a> has alot more info.

The GT has the 1ZZFE engine, with 140hp/125lbft (I think California models might be down a couple hp).

The GT-S has the 2ZZGE engine (same as your's), with 180hp/130lbft.

All of these numbers are brake horsepower at the flywheel measured according to SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) standard. I think DIN bhp tends to be a little higher than SAE bhp, like 1 or 2 hp, but I'm not sure. Either way, your Celica is slightly more powerful than mine, but I'm a better driver http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/wink.gif.

Creamibiza, I'm planning to buy a Celica 190 in 5 months or so. Do you have any idea how much the insurance will be like? I'll be 28 by then. And how much is the roadtax?
What did you pay for the celica? I know it's 20500

I promised myself that I wasn't going to post or say anything bad for this thread revival, so I'm posting just to let you know that I'm not going to post. Revival just for the sake of revival is pointless. Just like posting just for the sake of posting :D
