Has anyone done this on their GT? What other parts do you need besides the brakes to do this?

This is a performance mod, not appearance, but yeah, people have done it:

some guy named "cyberpunk" use to make a conversion kit for the celica but it was really expensive like 2k but IMO its not worth it i would rather purchase a trd big brake kit instead....

for 2 grand? thats a bit steep. ive had toyota quote me 1200 dollars for the whole deal. that seems higher than a bitch for what is going to be done.

I'm going to do it soon, have almost all the parts sitting in my house, just need some new brake lines and rotors. Got the parts cheap from a member on this board who was parting out a totalled Celica GT-S.

I actually have some very good info on this topic. I contact cybrpunk abput two months ago (after months of trying to get ahold of him) about this here is some email he sent me.
Hey John,

Here's the deal with the conversion...

I gave my parts guy the list of parts neccessary to get a price check on the
conversion. It turns out that some of the parts raised in price a little.
Here's a list of options you can choose from:

1. D-T-D Conversion w/ stock (Rear)brake lines: $1458.04 + shipping

2. D-T-D Conversion w/ Rod Millen F/Rear Brake Lines: $1563.04 + shipping

3. D-T-D Conversion w/ Goodridge F/Rear Brake Lines: $1518.49 + shipping

These prices are based on the fact that you are getting the AEM kit later on
so this is the basic kit.
These prices are for the basic kit, no rotor, i didnt get a quote with the stock GTS rotor bc i was going to get the AEM Rotors. Off the topic really quick, i recently bought TRD Big Brakes for the Front Rotors, would having the AEM Brakes in the back just look stupid now that i have the TRD's in the Front. Any opinions will aid in my decision.
Anyway, here is his email, cybrpunkgt@mindspring.com (really wish i had all this info when i first looked for this) And tell him jszydlo69@hotmail.com sent you.

Those prices are steep, I didn't even pay 1/4 of that and I got stock rotors (but they all brown and rusted) and I even got stock brake pads that still have 80% of the pad left.

celica604,

Do you live in the 604 area (Vancouver BC)?

If so, can I ask you for help/advice if I want to do a conversion too?
