I'm planning on getting the swaybar set from hotchkis and want to know if some of you already had it. What are the reviews...good -waste of money. Does it make the ride harsh what should I get the street or race kit..etc..?
Need your help on this..
Celicas have lot's of bodyroll and I want to make my car more stable and sharp handler. Already have the trd springs and kyb shocks but the car still has lot's of body roll...

Raymund they are hollow bars, so the diameter is bigger than solid bars. They are 1".

I have had them on my car for a week. I definately feel an improvement, but it's hard to quantify without any track or autox times. The autox season doesn't start until 1/27.
The ride is just a tad harsher than stock. I installed the strut bar at the same time as the sways and I suspect it's the strut bar that gave me the harsher ride.
IMO, you should get the street kit. You don't want really tight bars on the street.
My car now has a sort of "clunking" sound when I go over bumps. I can't tell exactly where the noise is coming from, but it's definately on the driver side. It started the 2nd day after I installed the sway bars. I did a real quick check yesterday and didn't find anything loose. I'll have to do a thorough check in the next couple days to figure out what's causing this.

1 inch (25mm) that is extremely stiff! Is that the front and/or rear bar? race or sport version?
it should be somewhere over 250% stiffer than the front stock and over 350% for the rear.
sportivo sways specs from trd:
Front Stabilizer Bar: 24mm Solid 170%stiffer than OEM (22mm)
Rear Stabilizer Bar: 21mm Solid 92% stiffer than OEM (17mm)
Those sway-bar will be stiff as hell! the hotchkis sways are probably not the best match for your current spring set-up.
if you really want to reduce body roll you should look into stiffer spring-rates first.
