Long Island Meet Sign up!!!

Ok Guys, this is the official Long Island meet sign up, so we can get a head count.

Date: Jan 5th- 6th (overnight optional)
Place: Long Island, NY
Time: show up between 12 noon and 1:00
Pre-meet: White Marsh Park-n-Ride (Directions below) Roll out at 8:00am
Pre-meet #2: Somewhere in Northern NJ to get us to the mall in Long Island. I'm still working out the details with GTS LAID.

I'll stop by AAA one of these days and get a Long Island Guide so we can find a cheap hotel. We will need to pair up and share rooms, I'll leave that up to everyone who wishes to stay. I'm not making reservations for everyone, but I think we should all stay at the same hotel.

We will meet up with the Northern NJ folks in hopes that we wont get lost on the way to the mall. Apparently it is easy to do! I'll also have directions for everyone so if for some reson we get separated or you don't make the pre-meet, you can find your way.

Directions to WhiteMarsh:
From South of Baltimore:
I-95 North, through the Harbor Tunnel (toll), Exit 67 B (Route 43 West).
Once off the exit ramp, get in the left lane. Make first left at Honeygo Bvld, get in right lane and take first right into Park-n-Ride.

From the Beltway(I-695):
Take I-695 to I-95 North, Exit 67 B (Route 43 West).
Once off the exit ramp, get in the left lane. Take the first left at Honeygo Bvld, get in right lane and take first right into Park-n-Ride.

Yeah, she is going. I think my room mate is going to make the trip with us up there in his mustang. If he goes, we are going to stay with some of his family in LI so we don't have to get a hotel room. He's not the most reliable person in the world though...

I need feedback on what to do. Do we stay or do we drive back? The cheapest place I have found is a Red Roof Inn for $85/night. I have a 4 hour drive, but I know those coming from DC are looking at a 5-6 hour drive.

I know Joe wants to drive back, what does everyone else want? I'm not big on late night driving, but I'm not big on those prices either!

Liz, is there anyway you could make the reservations for Kevan, Randy and I at the RedRoof Inn? We'll "share" one room. And we'd give you the money upfront if that's a concern of yours. Please let us know over in the NE forum :)

Alright, the place we were going to stay out fell through.. so me, my girlfriend, my room mate and maybe one other friend will be going. In my Celica and in their Mustang, and we will be getting a hotel room. What is the phone number and address to the Red Roof Inn everyone is staying at?

Okay DC people....I just made a reservation for ONE room at the Red Roof Inn. the 3 of us from MA, and 1 from CT will be staying in that room.

It costs $84 for a two bed room.

The guy at the front desk also said there was no limit to how many people we squeeze into a room.

I also asked him about getting all of our rooms next to each other, and he said for us to call Saturday morning to request that all the rooms be next to each other and that it'd be no problem. They don't assign rooms until Saturday anyway.

Soooooooooo...get your rooms people.

Ok, I have rooms (2) for myself, Jon, Prinya, Carrie, Jake and Jake's GF. We have a bit more room if we need to stuff another person or two in there.

Brian, I know you are coming with friends, so I will let you make your reservations. There seems to be pleanty of rooms.

Also, tell them you are with the "schlegel" party (rhymes with bagel), and they will try and put us together.
