The idiot in the RSX-S (Gotta read this crap)

Ok, so I was driving home tonight on this road that is 2 lanes wide and the speed limit is 70 kms/hr. As I was driving I saw a new RSX-S driving in the other lane, so I was just looking at it and I sped up to see who was driving it. It was a guy like 24ish years old and as I was passing him he was shaking his head and smiling (I didnt pass him fast or anything, it was just so see the driver). Anyways, I go past him and I have to slow down because there is a car in front of me. So now we are side by side and he makes some weird juster to me....like noding or something....I thought he wanted to race. I noticed his windows was down and wanted to tell me something. So I roll down my window (We were going about 70 kms/hr) He yells out (in a smart ass way) "Heheheh (shaking his head) you have 175 HP, I have 200 HP (shakes his head again)" Im like...what?? I didnt know what he was talking about because it was hard to hear, then I caught on and my window was up already. Im like...whoa what a little mother fuker, I cant believe he said that!! So I down shift into 2nd and fly past him and cut into his lane (he didnt even hit the gas or anything). Then he turns into this ****ty warehouse place (probably to go to work). But man...I cant believe he wanted to tell me that "I have more horsepower than you" and "I wounldnt even bother to race you because MY car is WAY better than yours". Remember, I have a Celica GT not a GTS (which has 180 HP not 175 HP), I dunno where he got that from. So, my impression of those guys driving around in the RSX-S 's is that they are fukn idiots who thing they have some sort of super car. I mean that thing is 3/4 of the way of being a freakin family car. They look sooo ugly!! Anyways, just thought I would share. (oh, his car was stock)

He was wrong, you didn't even have 175HP.

Instead, tell him:

1) I have done 10 vi*gins, you got none.
2) I am 3 inches longer than you.
3) you got Aids, I don't.

Or, ask him if he does that to every car on the road.

I don't think you can characterize all RSX-S drivers by one moron. I'm sure there are guys out there with Celica's that are jerks, but that doesn't mean we all are. Every car has it's share of knuckleheads.

WillyK is right, there are stupid jerk Celica owners too. A couple of months ago I saw a Celica owner walking from his car into a video rental store. He walked past a Civic with some rims and pointed and laughed at it right in front of the owner. I think that the punk Celica owner is lucky that the Civic guy didn't kick his a$$ because he was much bigger than him, but luckily for the Celica guy, the Civic guy just brushed it off and didn't let it bother him. It bothered me though, it happened a couple of months ago and I still remember it. I just hope that the Civic guy doesn't characterize all Celica owners as jerks because of that one guy.

Guys like that are a dime a dozen at clubrsx. They love to ignore all the other things that matter in real world racing like gearing, transmission, and traction. Too bad 99% of RSX-S owners can't post something better than my time.

I agree with Larry. What is wrong with posting your time in your sig?!

And if you notice, he has a GT not a GTS so 15.008 is very damn good. A lot of GTS owners, RSX-S owners, etc can't get that good of a time.

I have met my share of idiot Celica owners. They stare and rev at you almost as much as the Civic guys. So far, the RSX guys just stare. So, in my experience, they have been less idiotic.

Or it could be that the Celica and Civic guys recognize your car for the race bred machine that it is. The RSX people on the other hand come from the wine and cheese crowd and don't understand the meaning of "TYPE R" so therefore view it as just one of the uglier early versions, hence the staring. :D

I don't know why people are always arguing about both cars, they are both great. My friend has and RSX-S and I must admit it is very nice, but so is the Celica. If I recall, I saw a dyno in one of the magazines for the RSX-S at 159whp, and in the last Sport Compact Car Mag I saw the dyno for the Matrix XRS, tha comes with the celica GT-S engine at 159whp. The facts are clear, on Dyno!!! In fact, Car and driver did independent testing with Celica GT-S, RSX-S, Camaro Z28, and VW 1.8T comparing price, acceleration, braking, roadhandling, and fuel economy.Guess what??? Celica was at the top of the list in almost all of them. The bottom line is, both are great cars, I have driven them both, and the RSX-S is a little quicker but that does not make the car better.

This one was kind of flat. I've come to expect better responses from you. However, ever now and then when I glance in my rearview mirror, I'll see what looks like a Celica or a Focus. Only when it gets closer can you tell for sure. MkI MR2s look a lot like the 240SX with the flip up headlights from the same vantage point.

You're right, that was lame. If you seriously cannot tell the front end of a focus from a Celica you should seriously get your eyes checked though.:eek:

I have to say, i have met some ****s where i live, but me and my friends are into racing (before f and f) and when we both got our cars my friend had a rsx-type s and i got a gt and i smoked him off the line and for a while but he eventually beat me. but now that we have had them for a while he'll beat me but its still fun and he's awsome about owning one he knows all about respect,

I agree. Besides, there are cars out there that'll make our cars look like dogs**t! We had some drag races out in my town the other night and I saw an RSX get raped by a "Hachiroku."

Sadly, that's not the case. However, my fiancee does get a lot of funny looks and stares when she drives the R. I'd probably stare a 6' blonde in a Type R too. :cool:
