h2ngt, The H7 is your low beam bulb. If you order an H7 you will get a replacement bulb that will fit in the head light housing exactly like the stock bulb, and it will have the exact same beam pattern as well.

The 9005 is the high beam bulb. So ordering a 9005 will get you a bulb that fits exactly like your stock high beam.

The numbers(H7, H3, 9005, ect.) indicate the shape of the bulb and the beam pattern. The numbers do not indicat what kind of car they go into. They are not exclusive to a certain car, so your Celica is not the only car that uses H7 and 9005 bulbs, there are many many different cars that use them as well.

HID is something completely different. HID(High Intensity Discharge) produces light in a different way than your stock bulbs do. The lights you have in your car now are halogen bulbs, which means that they produce light by burning a filiment. An HID bulb creats light by arcing electricity through a Xenon filled bulb, exciting the electrons. This light is supposed to be the closest thing that we can create to real sunlight.

The main disadvantage to the HID system is it's cost. An HID conversion kit will cost you at least $400 for a cheap one if not more.

The advantage to the HID system is that your night vision will increase dramatically, I think that you would be shocked by how well they work. Pluse, the bulbs are supposed to pretty much last forever.

Hey thank for the info. so all I have to ask for now is just an H7 HID ? Is the HID also sort like the halogen bulb ? Or are all HID the same ?

You have several options on what bulbs to order, depending on what you are trying to do with you lights.

If you are doing a true HID conversion, then yes, you would ask for an H7 HID. A real HID kit comes with the special Xenon filled bulbs and a ballast modual that delivers a powerful spark to the bulbs as well as some additional harware for mounting the extra components. A real HID system consumes less power during operation to produce significantly more light, but it takes a great deal more power to get them going. That is what the ballast module will do, when you turn your light on it delivers the power needed to get the bulbs going. If you are ordering a real HID kit all you need to do is ask for an H7 HID kit for your Celica and they will include this, and ever thing else you need for your car. Again, it will cost no less than $400. If the cost of the HID bulbs is less than that, you probably are not getting a real HID system.

The reason that I point this out is because there are a lot of imitation HID bulbs on the market. There are two types of imitation HID bulbs.

One type is Xenon filled, but they still operate off a burning filiment. This gives the bulb a higher out put than you would ordinaraly think you would get from the bulbs power rating. For example, a 45 watt Xenon filled imitation HID bulb will put out a lot more light than a 45 watt Halogen bulb.

The other type of HID imitation bulb is a regular halogen bulb that has been coated with a blue coloring or is actually dyed blue. These are cheaper than the Xenon filled HID imitations but they will produce much less light then would be expected for there power rating. The reason people buy these bulbs is to have that blue hue look at night that a real HID system has. But the blue coating that is used to give them this appearance filters out most of the other colors in the light spectrum, so only the blue shows through. This results in a very dim looking light beam that lights the road up poorly.

If you are going for increased light performance you can't top a real HID system. If you don't want to spend so much on a real HID system, I would suggest that you at least order some Xenon HID replicas as opposed to the tinted halogen HID replica's. If you are just ordering replacements that perform the same as your current lights, you should order an H7 halogen bulb.

You should check this sit out. Their bulbs are really good, plus they have some FAQ and things you could read about to learn more about aftermarket lighting...
