Option- Vinyl Dash

Well, I got bored today and had this idea pop into my head, take a look and tell me what you think...

Keep in mind-
1.) This took me 5mins to make, expect the final one to look much better (correctly cut)
2.) I happened to have some extra vinyl laying around, the final version will be black or carbon fiber
3.) Use your imagination!

i kinda dig the concept, but
a) it's probably gonna be too thick
b) the cuts are not clean
c) it doesn't flow that great

IMO leave it to the experts ie-bat.. although i really dont see how it'll look that good....

ur middle console already has carbon fiber on it... its fine as it is... IMO dont mess with it...

It won't be thick at all, I'm sure of that. The final version I'll be putting a lot more time on it getting it right. I work at a vinyl shop too so I have access to anything I need (vinyl, machines to cut it, programs to design it)

FriedRice- have you considered carbon fiber shoe laces? I have them on my nikes and I got 10hp to the ground!

Alright, I'll come up with a better one in black tomorrow, but I seriously think it won't look that bad when Im done with it. What I'm trying to do is that curve that are AC vents are in (its hard to describe) is trying to cover them up, kinda like a dash kit that you could have made to any part of the interior. I donno though, maybe I've been sniffing one to many glues :AF:

People has done vinyl warp on the dash....
I've seen one done on integra.... clean job.. but requires extensive work...

try using a blowdryer...it will heat up the vinyl and make it mold like the texture of the dash maybe.....MAYBE

lol, I'm not trying to compete with bat. With the orange vinyl I had some left over from a windshild banner I did and instead of letting it go to waste in the trash, I let it go to waste on my dash. I have a roll of black vinyl in my car and I'll try to get an outline of the curves on paper or map it out my vinyl machine. I'll try to have some BETTER pictures in a day or two. Thanks for the opioions everyone lol

Really, I originaly wanted to do the vents in liquid silver, but I don't have any silver vinyl left where I work and I can't order any carbon fiber vinyl, how much do you estimate it will be?
