Yep, Toyota USA is a crappy company, I usta work for corporate HQ in Torrance a few years back, they forked me out of a job, toyota salesman forked me out of a decent test drive, god knows how sore from being forked over I would be if I actually bought one... I've heard horror stories, from inside the company, no less about sales and service...
You know Lexus' old slogan, "Relentless persuit of Perfection?" An internal memo got leaked, somebody found out where that term initially got made famous. A book called "Mein Kampf" by some dead dude name Hitler. I guess corporate feared the family might sue for infringement or somthin. :) So they changed it. Dumbazzes! "I bet no one will ever figure that one out, hehehe!"
From the test drive, to the entire dealer experience, and yeah, the car is freakin hotter than the babe that was in my dream the other night... the type S is so much a better deal, (well, for me and the kinda driving I wanna do...) if you can swing it, go for it!
I won't elaborate, if ya wanna know more just email me. Celicas are way freakin cool, but I think the Acura is freakin HOT!!!
Thanks for all the help, over and out,
J

I find that every job that I work at... if I had a bad experience with them.. I hate them and their brand for the rest of my life.
Examples: Sears and Sprint

Yes Sprint does suck.
Driving through town, with my phone in my pocket it would constantly go in and out of service.. "entering service area".. 5 seconds later "searching for service area"... etc. etc.
I've never had problems like that with my girlfriends phone. I think hers is cingular or verizon.

burndupcrx is a liar, my dad has worked for toyota for over 20 years and he has never had a problem with them and the only reason they wouldnt give u a job is because u arent qualified enough.

I don't know if I can blame this guy for what he has said...I mean, I bought my car last year and have had nothing but problems with dealerships since then because of the few mods I have put on the car. On top of that, I have been told to take my business elsewhere by one dealership when they were the ones that messed up my front bumper during an oil change (they got mad because I made them buy and install a new one).
Moreover, the in-house "performance" company doesn't even do anything for the car. If TRD doesn't want to make parts for the Celica, what makes you think that aftermarket companies will? I love my Celica, but Toyota of America sucks.

Experiences with cars and car companies is relative. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion and some feel more strongly about things than others. I say to each his or her own :) By this, I shall close the thread to prevent a flame war of sorts.
