how to brake?

this may sound stupid but how hard should you be braking? should you be slamming on it hard enough that the ABS system kicks in? but I thought keeping the chassi balanced and smooth was faster then abrubt transitions...?

ABS induced braking is common practice in straight lines. something that is normaly done at the end of a long straight and is done as late as posible right before the turn.

in trail braking (coming into a turn) I would not recomend any hard braking to induce ABS.
