Does the powerFC replace the ECU or is it an add on...can it control valve timing as well?

from what ive heard I think you can control VVT. It can basically control everything even the rev limiter so ive read. Id rather get that than a S-afc cause it replaces your stock ecu and I do believe you just plug it in, but you have to tune it to your setup cause someone I think said on here those no base numbers to go off of

PowerFC ($1,500+ retail with commander) is a full replacement.
SuperAFC ($300+) is a piggyback system.
Please do not get them mixed, its like comparing the old 16 bit Nintendo with GameCube. :D

keep in mind however that this full replacement power fc is very excessive for what most of you are doing and is very complex for an unexperienced person so replacing your ecu with the power fc is one hell of a step and dont take it without knowing what you are getting into

actually it is right in the middle, its not good enough for forced induction applications (you can ask celicaUK and andrewmva)
It is for a good naturally aspirated vehicle, so get high compression pistons and stuff like that this thing is good for you.
And it has base maps but you need to modify them a little since they are based for 100octane Japanese gas. ;)
