How do you check if your motor mounts are bad or not?

i don't think motor mounts will go "bad" anytime soon. They're designed to take a lotta impact and stock ones flex and give a lot to create a smoother ride, so i think they'll last.

They're not designed to flex alot.

they can go bad as early as 30K miles. A bad mount can cause excess engine vibration (especially at idle). Also when you shift it will seem like the car shifts hard especally shifting 1-2.

i replaced my motor mount on my previous car (camry) at 60k just one though.....made a big diiference when they replaced it



are there any motor mounts for the celi that will make the car vibrate less?

vibrate less and add MORE lovley wheelhop
dont be a puss, get some solid mounts and kill that wheelhop for good :)

Well...nothing is wrong with them..im just really anal about my car...i tried a couple of launches and my car just went crazy and started to wheelhop ...really bad wheel hop..and now im just so much more aware of little rattles and stuff cuz of it. I wanted to make sure it didnt make my engine lose..kinda stupid but little things bother me a lot. i have about 22k miles on my car btw....trd struts and springs..duno if those add to the wear and tear of the engine mounts...AND plus ya'll kno the celica is like..notorious for rattling..

solid mounts (or polyurethane) will transmit alot of buzzing type vibrations from the engine, but it shouldnt wheelhop

My rear motor mount that connects to the subframe is shot already. I found out while doing my clutch install. Need to look for some poly's.

a misshift will weakin your motor mounts pretty badly ...

my car lunges really bad when i let off the gas in 1 st gr asumin its the motor mounts
