I took it for 3 times to get the squeeky clutch fixed but thye lubed different places but it does not fix it.

The squeaks happen less often or sometimes i dont hear it but it's still there.

If someone got a part replaced please let me know.

I had the same thing happen, it drove me crazy! they replaced the clutch under warrenty, they tried lubing it up a coupple of times, and then realized that wasn't doing s**t so they put a new clutch on there and it's like butter :)

Drix, can you scan in your work order?
What was the part that they replaced?

I had that problem and if you look under the hood there is a cable on the right side front part of the motor. It is your clutch cable I guess. Anyway, it has two black plastic bushings that hold the cable in place. If you move them around you will hear that annoying squeek! If you lube them it will stop. It drove me nuts for a few weeks until the dealer showed me. If you have any questions let me know and I can try and get some pics.

Christian fiore informed me it was the throw out bearing.
In that case, how will replacing the clutch pedal like Drix, fix the squeaks? the throw out bearing(aka release bearing) is located at the end of the lever that goes into the transmission
bellhousing.

There are actually two separate problems here. Luckily for you guys (unlucky for me), I have had them both. I also got them fixed with no problems since (knock on wood)

Problem 1:

Squeak is heard at idle, but goes away when the clutch peddle is pushed in.

Solution:
Either or both of these may be required:

(A) Replace throwout (aka release) bearing.
and/or
(B) Lubricate the release plate.

Problem 2:

When pushing in on the clutch peddle to change gears, you hear a squeak as the peddle is pressed in.

Solution:

Get toyota to lubricate the clutch peddle itself.

As I said, I have had both of these problems and both have been fixed by doing all of the above.

Hope this helps!

hey thanks everyone. Brian W. There is two problems in mine like u said. I think i want them to replace the whole clutch assembly and the release bearing.
Does anyone know if the release bearing requires dropping the tranny to get to it?

Can someone please, if not you Dark GT, scan in their work order where they replaced the clutch pedal and it's counter parts or even just a throwout bearing?
I went to 3 dealerships around town, and now i'm down to this one dealership.

thanks
