View Full Version : Stupid mat clip...

My car is at 32k miles... the plastic clip that holds the driver side mat from moving all around tore out of the carpet... (I noticed on the 03' there is two now)..

Anyway, do you think I could get this covered from Toyota...? Since the mat slides all around it's a safety hazard...

Anyone had this happen...? Anyone get it covered...?

Even if they don't cover it, it shoulden't cost that much for the clip.

I agree.... but thats not the problem... the clip is torn out of the carpet... I still have the clip even....

Only way I could see it being fixed would be replacing the whole carpet...

i took mine to toyota because the clip wont stay in the carpet hole but they pretty much said i had to deal with it.

Same here...it's a normal wear item...The tech somehow worked it back in, but it's still pretty loose, so I just adjust the mat every couple of days...
