Well folks here's some new news on my turbo project. As I last told all of you we dyno'd 141.3 SAE @ 6000 and the temp. sensor on my sportomatic told the ecu to retard the timming because we exceeded the paramiters that the stock ecu will allow. We tuned the safc a little more because we found that on the highway we were running lean according to the motec plm we had hooked up into our test port. We added 6% more fuel to high throttle and the cars like a rocket now. I found that the stock brakes would not slow down the car to my likes. I just installed the stop-tech big break kit and rotora disks in the back, that solved the breaking problem. I have a tranny cooler on order and it should be installed next week. I'll dyno the car after and hopefully it should resolve the tranny temp. issue. After we dyno were gonna take out the safc and install a split-sec ftc-1esc piggyback that is laptop programable. We will then tune and dyno and I'll post the dyno for all of you.

How much hp are you expecting with your setup?

Right now we are running 5.8 psi with a leaky turbo manifold and a t-3 turbo with a bad seal. With the car as it sits now and when we get past the tranny issues we feel that we should put to the wheels 200-220 hp. After we get past the tranny issue were going to do the whole motor, ecu and return fuel system. I only want to do 250 hp to the wheels as we feel the stock tranny won't hold anymore. We don't want to go the level 10 or pro-tech tranny route as both have done more harm than good. Were fabbing a ss manifold right now and were going to upgrade the turbo to a t3/4 with 58 ball bearing trim and ceramic coated. Were using the same piggy back that DD over at wctoyota has on his project. Car runs like a raped ape even with the problems were having now.

It's not the SAFC thing. All of the years do that. It's the fact that your vehicle has DBW.

JJ, good to know that you are putting some effort on your GT-S. Let the z06 rest a little :gap:

Wow that's an old post of mine brought back from the dead.

The GTS has been long gone and the ZO6 now has a 2 bar speed density tune on it that were still dialing in on a histogram the HPTuners has in their software.

In other words I'm not running a MAF anymore just a 2 bar MAP.
