Tore an Si apart

some stock Si (black) rolls up with two white "homebois" drivin. One was in his dominos pizza uniform with a sideways hat. He gets up beside me and downshifts and takes off. I revmatch, leisurely stick it in 2nd and get goin. He's way back in my rear view in seconds.
Next we line up at a light.
Homboi dominos pizza man is the passenger...looks mad...like hes gonna bust out his gatt.

driver goes "lets run again"
so i do. i granny shift it into first.....pull on them through 1st...and 2nd gear...i let off cause they are about a car or more back.
im still pulling even without going at WOT.

So I smile :p and SLAM DOWN THE PEDAL AGAIN.
Shift into 3rd. hit an indicated 90. (less than that, i was on my gay ghetto heavy ass koenig drifting rims :) ) and they are 3-4 cars back. Man these guys SUCK at driving.

I laugh and they flash high beams and turn into their street.

I open my window and pull a u-turn (i missed my street)
and let out a big "YEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAA"
haven't streetraced in what....6 months?

*this was at 130 am and the streets were completely empty. noone was out i made sure. i HATE racing where you can hurt peope. this was as safe as the streets get*

Most Si owners seem to think their cars is the shyte, which makes it that much better when you smoke 'em. I usually dont have any trouble beating them in my (mostly) stock GT 5 spd. Gotta love the look on their faces.

I agree....I have an SI grudge match here were I live. He can never beat me. He ran mod 13's in the 1/8 mile all day while I was running low 9's. All I had was an intake. He had AEM intake, cam, cam gears, exhuast and some engine dress ups.

He was pissed the first time I beat him a year ago or so. Very pissed.

no rivalry here. its kinda peaceful. if not boring. could be all the snow ... and road salt. road salt is the devil.

Why is it that everytime I see an Si vs GTS story the outcome is always an asskicking.

I've raced people from this board with my bolton Si and I saw no asskicking. In fact, if they misshift or mess up their launch, I will take them. The GT-S is faster, agreed, but not 4-5 cars faster, not even close, unless you're racing all the way to 140 mph. But 1-4mile, an si should keep the GT-S within 2 carlengths at least.

And the allmighty GT...well, those I have not had a problem with so far at all.

why is becuz alot of SI owners dont have a clue how to drive.. but im sure there are equally as many Celica owners who are clueless, hence the reason on clubsi they talk about tearing a GTS apart :)

yeah...if it was ClubSi.com in I/H/E Si(s) vs. NewCelica.org I/E GTS(s), then there would be no ass-kicking of anybody, maybe edging out.

but it's NC.org vs. the common Si driver, and ClubSi.com vs. the common GTS driver.

and the common driver sucks. :(

hell most drivers suck.. but ill be the first to say the GTS is hard to drive.. man that was the first thing I noticed bout the Eclipse..its soooo easy to drive.. the GTS was a bitch to stay in power band and felt like i had to beat the hell outta it to make it move..

nothing to do with the engine or how fast it is, but the celica looks a lot better than most cars

all depends who u ask.. everynoe has their own tastes.. im not much for the styling of a stock Celica, modded hell yeah but stock does nothing for em anymore.. one of the other reasons i went with an Eclipse.. i feel as if I dont need to change the body to make me like it,,.

i like the eclipse a lot also, i almost got one when i was looking for cars, but i couldn't get over that hump on the hood

I dont know about you guys but my races against my friends si is always close. He has type-R head package with valves, valve springs, ITR cams and AEM cam gears with AEM cold air intake and ACT six puck and I can only beat him by about 1 sometimes 2 car lengths. I have AEM cold air, TRD exhaust and B&M shortshifter, the race is always close and sometimes if he launches right he will beat me by half a car.
