My bf put mine on in 15 minutes, and he measured all sides for proper height. Mine has no gaps, and fits excellent. Very well made.

I have the rear valence. It fit fine but there was a small (like 2mm) gap between it and the rear bumper in a few spots. But it was just a stick on valence so I figured that was just the way it goes. I got rear ended so when they redid the bumper I had them mold the valence to the bumper. Now it fits awesome with obviously no gap. The quality of the fiberglass is great and the surface finish was great.

For a perfect fit with fibreglass kits, you'd have to blend like Jesse IL did. Fibreglass kits are just knocked out of the same mold in their droves. If one's slightly out they all will be.
I had fibreglass skirts and bumper on my last car. The designs are great but the fitment sucks!
I'll be going with the Urethane Wings West kit and probabaly the RMM wing without the CF insert as my car's black and it wouldn't show.
Any probs with the RMM wings, being fibregalls an' all?

Ryancelica: I have heard that the RMM wing is pretty good but you may want to talk to spectra_freak he/she has a post about problems with the wing. As far as the RMM kit it is urethane not fiberglass.(except for the wing)

The front lip is urethane, the rest is fiberglass.

Thats really good to know that the rest of the kit is fiberglass...the rod millen website is sort of misleading in their description of the kit. Thanks for the heads up!

I thought the whole kit was fibreglass? Oh well. If the lip is urethane then it should fit perfectly.
I heard the WW and TRD wings are too heavy for the bootlid (trunk for US peeps) struts.........ie they can't handle the extra weight and won't keep the lid open.
Can anybody comment on the RMM wing doing or not doing this?
I still can't decide between the WW wing and the RMM one. They're both nice.

On my car, I never had a stock spoiler and I put on my Veilside CF wing. Sure the wing is light, but it still adds weight to the hatch that wasn't made for a spoiler. Thus, my struts on the hatch died after a couple months and don't stay up anymore.

From what I have heard the if you have the TRD wing on the car there is now a warranty recall on the latch struts but I highly doubt they will honor it if you have the WW or RMM wing....I would say that the RMM would probably be a little lighter if you are going for the one with the carbon fiber insert. Not too sure on this one though...

As far as any gap goes on the front lip, look here. Mine has no gap what so ever. And my BF said it was very easy to install.

And from what my BF's friend that did all the painting, he said fiberglass is a complete pain in the ass to work with. He said the prep time almost triples as compared to a urethane kit.

as far as the wing goes, it shouldn't matter what wing you have. there is a tsb on the struts for ANY celica, winged or not. so regardless of ur wing, they will put the new struts on. whether the new ones will hold it up is another story.

But when you get the action package, it comes with different struts....for the wing....so if we have a non-action packaged celica...we don't get the struts...hence no replacement.

are you sure they come w/different struts, i highly doubt this. i don't think they are different. anyone verify this?

Parts that come with it:

3 Trunk Damper
Caution - This section is only for those cars which do not have factory installed wings. If you have a factory wing, please proceed to Section 4.
a) Pull off the factory damper by pulling the socket off the upper end of the damper and unbolting the bracket on the lower end of the damper. Replace the factory ball jointed bolt with the supplied ball jointed bolt.
http://russ.angrypacket.com/howto/carstuff/trd-adjustable-spoiler/images/figure7.jpg
b) Put on the new dampers by connecting the ball joints. Put thread lock on the threads of the 4 bolts which hold the bracket to the frame of the vehicle. Bolt the bracket to the vehicle and tighten all 4 bolts.
http://russ.angrypacket.com/howto/carstuff/trd-adjustable-spoiler/images/figure8.jpg
c) Make sure that all of the connections and bolts of the damper assembly are tight.

No part number on the dampers....

my rear is perfect, and one side skirt is perfect. the other one was, but i took it off to get under my car a while back, and i didn't get it back on just right, so now i have a little gap.
i dont have the rmm front so i have no idea about that

Thanks Banana Ryce for proving that there are different struts available from Toyota.
The only problem is that I read the reason that the TRD kit has ceased to be available is that the struts still weren't strong enough for the wing. So they've canned the kit to save cash from repalcing struts. Any ideas if that's true?
This whole crappy strut thing is putting me off getting a wing completetly. I can't be bothered replacing parts etc. Modifying does bugger your car as I've learned form my last car and my mate's cars.
The Evo's and Scooby's hav large wings. Anybody know if their struts would fit the Celica?

Yah thanks for those instructions baNanA_ryCe ...I just bought the real TRD wing and was just wondering if the brake light above the rear windshield should be covered now that I have the LED on the actual wing? When you showed that diagram it looks like number 2 in the parts of the wing is a cover of some sort for that brake light....can anybody confirm this??
