Questions on fender sidemarker install/purchase

I was wondering if installing universal sidemarkers would be a DIY job or a bodyshop job? What sidemarkers are people using? Where to get them? Is it pretty much just find the right location for the light, drill hole, run wiring and voila? Or do you need to cut metal off the fender?

yeah u do need to cut the metal off the fenders......i believe some celica's in europe have those from the factory.....
