gts verdud 2002 corolla

whose white gts corolla with body kit was racing me in the red 2002 corolla on the 605 today. i have to say i wasnt to impressed with the gt-s freeway power. all i have done is el prototypes cold air, lightend flywheel, stage 2 clutch, trd quickshifter and obx strut brace. the whole race i was on his tail but couldnt pass due to traffic. arggggg the one time i passed you and pulled a little until more cars come up i was all excited. unless you were a gt, but i saw rear disk brakes so i fiured you were a gts.
i cant wait until i install my quarter size video camera in my car conencted to a vcr because that would have been a good race to get on video... ::wink::

you sure the guy was racing? nice car you have, but i only notice a flywheel and CAI, and a CAI on a GTS 6-speed would have it putting down 170whp.

maybe it was an auto GTS. the gearing of the auto GTS has it pick up from 60-80 and 100+ but 80-100, it's really, really slow. (case in point: 60-80 takes 4 or just under seconds. 80-100 takes almost 9-10 in cold weather and 10-14 in hot weather. 100-120 takes 9-10). and that's about where most people freeway race.

a corolla S can usually go about as fast as me from 80-100 (a little quicker even) in my auto GTS. but, before and after that, i pull away hard. i'm pretty sure the guy you ran into was auto then.

That Rx7 must be pretty well maintained. Most of the older rx7 I have seen are beaten to death after 10-12 years. Heck, a lot of 3rd gen rx7 are beaten to death already..

well coulda been an auto gt also. i raced a 5 spd rolla at the track, and even with me screwing up the launch, spinning through 1rst, and the bottom of second i kicked his ass bad. so i dunno what to tell you. just dont go to C3racing. com and brag how slow the celicas are, which i am sure aloto of that goes on as it is. the fast ones are the ones with the Levins, he he. gotta love that levin engine!

5k for the computer system to run the datalogger. or you can get the TMO mod and do it that way for i "think" around 500.
