How to prime and prep urethane kit?

How do you prep and prime a urethane body kit? Can I use normal primer or is there a special one for it? I want to save some money prior sending the kit to a bodyshop by primering it and sanding it down. Or am I better off just giving it to the shop for primering, sanding, and painting?

its not worth it just make your bodyshop do it..

Its hard to do, you have to use the proper chemicals and proper grit sandpapers. If you do it wrong, the paint wont stick or you could damage the urethane or both. If you dont know what you're doing, dont even bother.
